I just started Yoga classes, trying out Vinyasa since I've gotten alot of muscle tears and strains in sports in the past. I'm not getting any younger its taking me longer and longer to recover when this happens.

Also I want to developing Body Weight strength through Yoga in conjunction with the weight training I've been doing for the past few months.

Since classes are only two nights a week, Does anybody know a good online resource detailing Vinyasa postures? I want to practice some of the pose sequences on days when there's no class.

Any other recommended resources with other useful information.

    Thanks in advance

^^ I agree. I have his book and it's a fantastic investment (if I would only get off my ass and practise ;))

I bought the first DVD in David Swensons Asthanga series a couple of weeks ago. As a complement to the classes I'm going to it is fantastic since not all the teachers favour Ashtanga. It's very well done and at a good pace. Some of the poses are still too advanced for me but they'll come in time.

    Thanks Transform and Rainglow

Any time and get on to yoga journal - google it.

The magazine is excellent and covers all types of yoga.

Such a shame most people do not stretch enough - many can't even touch their toes without getting a hernia and they wonder about their weak back!!!!
