Neck training?

I'm wondering is there much training you can do to thicken up the neck, and if so what would you recommend? I know that boxers do a lot of training on this area for punch resistance, a strong neck will help absorb the shots.

My neck is shirt size 15 and a half, I'm 5' 11'' and 12.5 stone. I've always been skinny enough in this area, but that's my frame really - I've very skinny wrists as well and I'm afraid no amount of gym work is going to change my bone structure at this stage!

How big are your calves and your arms dude???? Need to get an idea as to the rest of you!

It can be hard to build up the neck, but obviously it is possible. I would normally recommend more of a bodyweight thing that any of those weighted caps you see on the net.

Shrugs will build up your next a bit, but what your looking for is a instructional for neck bridges. Type it into google and give em a go.

    And be careful!!!

Not really sure as I've never measured them! Calves are big enough, cycle and play a lot of football, arms are skinny enough, been weight training a good while now, but the progress is very slow
