    Hi folks,

I was just wondering do people still send anonymous Valentines Day cards these days?

I always remember sending/getting them in my school days! It was fun at the time!

I was just wondering if any people in their 20's send Valentines cards to somebody they like anonymously or are we all to grown up for that now!

Any of you planning on doing it this year?

Don't do it, py2006, don't do it. She'll know it's from you and it'll just creep her out...

haha, never! Haven't done that since I was 15!

I got an anonymous one when I was 18 but I was actually with somebody aswell at the time! She tore it up on me!

I haven't done that since I was in school and although it would be anonymous, I'd heavily hint who I was - I thought there no point spending hours and hours making a card if he didn't have any idea who it was from :o

I woulda thought that it would kinda freak a girl out if she got an anonymous card.. but I suppose its as wierd as gettin a pm from someone ya don't know?! I never sent one, never received one (anon that is).. when I was younger it would've been nice to get one as it woulda done the self confidence the world of good, but now that I am Mr Ego I have no need for it :D

I remember my next door neighbour and myself used to write eachother Valentine cards but put "From Guess Who" and the end!!! hehe, last time I did it was when I was around 10 and he caught me putting it in his letterbox! :o Even though we always knew who the cards were from I was still mortified!! hehe :o I was only 10!!!! :o

Making the card was half of the excitement of giving it to him! I was in school was probably only about 14 at the time.

We did actually get together briefly after that, but I'm not sure if the card had anything to do with it.

I've never sent one anon tbh. If you have to wait for Val's day to come around just to say you like/love someone, its not good.

Efforts should be made throughout the year for such things imo.

God I would love if I got an anon card. But then it would probably be from some weirdo and I would have to leave the country.

I have. but whats the bloody point in sending someone a card when you are too afraid to do anything about it afterwards

I got one a few years ago off a guy, and it was absolutely packed with little poemy things and other .. stuff.. I knew it was him though, he couldnt come within yards of me without going near purple with embaressment.
Sweet and all but guys who are painfully shy - not my thang tbh.

Myself and a friend used to stalk this 21 yr old guy when we were 14. We sent him a MASSIVE Valentines card with really creepy stuff written in it. He must've known it was us. We used to follow him around Greystones and sit outside his dad's shop when he was working in it. We also got his phone number and would call him for chats. Looking back, I can't decide whether it was sweet or creepy that he'd talk to us.

EDIT: Also, this thread makes my Abercrombie sense tingle.

On the one hand, sending a card could be interpreted as being a really nice gesture (leading to scoreage). On the other hand, it could be seen as creepy and stalker-ish (leading to restraining orders). Hmmm, too much grey area there for my liking!

When I was about 13 or 14, I sent a girl a tape of "You're in my heart" by Rod Stewart, and a note outlining my endless love for her. I got up at 5am and left it on her doorstep. Kind of forgot about it, but when everyone met up after school, all her mates were running around everyone asking "do you like Rod Stewart?" I must have been a good liar (even at that age) because when I said "no" one of her mates said -"naaaah, wasn't him". They ended up pinning it on some other dude, and he ended up going out with her!!

so Rachel and Brian, if you are still together, you owe me.

    big time.

    LMAO <Word Life> :D

I got a really creepy one once when I was a wee fellow, it was all these newspaper headlines cut out saying "I Love You" etc. like somethin a serial killer would send. I was only about 10 at the time:

"Girls, bleuch, get em away from me!" :D

in fairness, what with the slagging your man got because of it, I was kinda relieved. the weird thing is, he never denied it. Probably thought he'd get in trouble if he did!!

Perhaps he thought she was a "bit of alright" and decided to go along with it in case he scored! Which he did in the end!

Perhaps they are married now with kids!!!! In which case he would have regretted it now! :D J/K
