Code is a Steam code and confirmed to work for PC on HUKD and Amazon itself.

You just buy it and input the code on Steam.

It's good that a UK store has opened up. Even the non-sale prices seem to generally be a lot more reasonable than on Steam.

I think he's referring to Amazon having it for £10 on their special offers: http://goo.gl/eJir9q

Funnily enough, the physical game is only £7: http://goo.gl/CS7UdF

Although it does sound like the physical copy comes with more restrictive DRM.

Getting a bit coloured by how much I love the game. :o The £10 price a good deal but the £7 pound one is probably better. I got the game through Steam so I'm unsure if the DRM is same or not. If it's the same it's not bad at all. :)

So basically pay €15 for Prison Architect. That is very tempting!

It says 33% off for today only which is a bit odd, seeing as its the weekly sale and all.

$20 dollars for the first 24 hours and then $25 dollars for the rest of the week if you want to get Prison Architect.

$20 is still too much for a game that its in alpha IMO.

I picked it up and gave the whole lot to charity.

But I agree regarding these alpha and beta releases we're expected to pay to play. Basically they've outsourced their software testing except we're paying them to do it.

It's also a case that if I were a developer I would rather my gamers got to play the polished/finished article instead of starting with a bad piece of software and craving updates from Day 0.

I think I'm gonna pass, it was on my to buy list for steam sale but it was too expensive, still working on the backlog of games I have :P

+1 to this. $20 is more than I've spent on any indie game ever, never mind the fact that it isn't close to being finished yet. I don't know how they're getting away with such a high price.

But its not 20$ for it. Its 20$ to introversion for all the games, to humble and to the charity.

I got it for Prison Architect, brilliant game :)

Same, gave most to charity. I think I left the developers with something like $7

Games still get that option by simply not playing until the game is released.

I like this form of development. It give gamers an eye into the development world, and it lets the devs get actual feedback from their customers while it's still early enough to make important changes.

Yea but the experience will have been tarnished somewhat for arguably your biggest fans - the ones that couldn't wait.

Sorry, I was thinking more about during the Steam sales a few weeks ago when it was $20 too.

I don't mind the idea, it just seems like they should be charging very little if anything in alpha since you're basically working as a debugger for them. Just de-activate the alpha when you're ready to release and all the people who want the game will buy it.

Minecraft and ArmA 3 are doing it right. Cheap in Alpha, more in Beta and full price in Gold.
