Sometimes getting rid of a girlfriend can leave unexpected weight off your shoulder. So much sometimes it's suprising as you expected the opposite :)

Stay on your detox and train. Alcohol depresses ya and being fit makes you happy :D

    A joke..

An Englishman an Irishman and a Scotsman were in a pub, talking about their sons.

"My son was born on St George's Day, commented the Englishman.
"So we obviously decided to call him George."

"That's a real coincidence," remarked the Scot.
"My son was born on St Andrew's Day, so obviously we decided to call him Andrew."

"That's incredible, what a coincidence," said the Irishman. "Exactly the same thing happened with my son Pancake."

Not to put a downer on your detox but all that concentrated orange juice is not good for you. I'm not too sure but I think Tropica is much better and the Innocent brand is also good. You should however, invest in a juicer, it will save you money in the long run and you will be drinking muc healthier orange juice! Good luck:)

aw. that sucks because it means superquinn will stop doing their microwave-able pancakes. eating them makes you feel the same way as women feel eating chocolate (i assume)

I don't think so, M&S cookies are the best thing ever. They've even started making them bigger again and its only 8cent more than your superquinn "cookies".

As for the OP, congrats on getting single and the detox. Was thinking of doing a detox myself but then remembered how much I love alcohol, junk food and smoking. Maybe I will someday...

Congrats to OP for the detox and all, tried that once but I didn't like it, ergo the enthusiasm for cookies.

you've never tasted a M&S cookie have you!?
Get a white chocolate chip one, they're amazing especially if you get them when they've just been taken out of the oven. Couldn't even compare a boasters to an M&S cookie.
All this talk is making me crave one - minus points :)

Hangovers... ahhh... easiest things I've found to cure a hangover:
    1) Masturbation: obviously only a temporary remedy
    2) Soup: mmm mmm mmmmm
    3) Just go back to bed :p

I'll vouch for the M&S cookies too. Although I'm currently addicted to McDonalds double cheeseburgers for some reason. Ah dammit! I want one now.

I'm going to be really incredibly fat in a few weeks. :(

Au contraire. This thread put me in a good mood! I'm definitely trying out those M&S cookies. I always just thought boasters were the best.

Does anyone remember those cakes you could get in Superquin years ago? They had a shortbread base, and then jam and fondant cream covered in icing. They were teh siht.

It's a detox I've come up with myself. I'm only going to eat:
Beans, Rice, Fruit, Veg and Nuts

    Only going to drink:
Water, or fruit juice or smoothies

Every day I take: Multivitamin tablets, omega3 fish oil thingies, and milk thistle tablets. I'm also now doing Tae Kwon Do and Ninjitsu.
Obviously I've given up the drink as part of this detox. On it since about Sunday 29th of January, and it's surprisingly easy :)

God, surprised it doesn't take serious willpower. I'd crumble and die after a few hours.

just wondering if you are supposed to be cutting out fatty or oily food??

cos rice and nuts are VERY fatty:confused:

Hey, hey. Less of the negativity, this is the happy thread. Rice, nuts fruit and veg are all very healthy. The oiliness of nuts is good oil - essential oils etc. Brown rice isn't fatty at all, but more fibrous. Anyway, people are too concerned with how much fat they ingest when they should be more concerned with how much of it they burn. Fair play to you plenderj, I envy you.

I gave up smoking a year ago, that's about as much detox as I can take!
