Not only is the census there to get stats on the site users, its also there as an attempt to stop sh1te polls/threads (like this one) being posted time and time again by users that are just too lazy to use search.

There actually is no relativity to join date and atari jaguar - The first day I joined boards I knew what an Atari Jaguar was and had done for years, and was able to recognise after about 2 days it was an "in" joke. Voted for it a few times myself.....although I suppose there has been a decrease dramatically in the availability of Atari Jaguar in polls even since last February.
