    Bodybuilder's aren't strong - all sarcoplasm*...

Incidentally, anyone seen Ronnie's left arm lately? Looks like he's down one tricep.

bless his cotton socks. Ah well, he's not 8 times Mr. Olympia for nothing....

mind you that tricep does look oddly dispropportionate... hmm..

so when he hits his late 50's or early 60's does he try to lose weight to prevent from sinking any boat he gets into or does he keep working out until he dies?

    Dermot.

    They're actually 200lbs per dumbell..

That tricep thing is pretty weird actually..

Let me put it this way, he was doing french press of 200 pounds + just before the Olympia in an add shoot for BSN, so it's not a tear. No way he could handle that kind of weight with a torn tri.

I reckon it is just some pinched nerves and he can't open up the muscle right when working out is. Nothing some deep tissue massage can't sort out.

I still think his 750 deads for 4 and his 800 squat for 2 are more impressive lifts though. :D

Yeah but that pic was taken after the Olympia (I think)??

Anyway, yeah he's one strong beast. There's a vid around of him deadlifting 810lbs for 2 reps, 5 weeks out from Mr.Olympia '04.

    Yeah, total monster alright.

I love the way people knock his quads now, saying he has no detail. If you look back to 2001, he has deep quad seperation, it's just that now there is litterally too much mass there! Crazy.

Personnally, i will always prefer the Frank Zanes of the world but **** it, i will respect those who deserve it. Ronnie sure does!

Oh yeah, and people have been on about his Tricep since the Olympia, i think it was Charles Glass who first made mention of it on his site.

Yeah, he really got it over the GH gut thing too - now it looks fine and no-one seems to mention it  .

Yeah the Frank Zane look is a great goal, personally I'ld love to look like a white Serge Nubret (unfortunately I never will 'cos I have a thick torso :( - damn genetics!).

Yeah , thats the look alright. I think its a great look because the look strong, fast, powerful. Everything you want. The don't look so huge that the can't do anything.

    Amazing.

Word is he did 855 x 3 after the Cost of Redemption (the vid where he squatted 800 x 2)... Insane considering how ripped and dry he is at the time...

    Sweet Jesus that's unreal!!!!!

I'm waiting for his latest to arrive, supposed to be some good footage in there.

In all fairness the guy is just inspirational. Right up there with watching the old Kaz or Magnus Ver Magnusson stuff when it comes to getting me amped up!

lol, I squated 8 reps with 60kilos the other night in my last set and I was dead chuffed!

*I started squats 4 weeks ago, but cant see myself doing that much, or anything over 150k!
