The former was a bit of both, the latter was definitely 80's.

    XFiles.
It was so fresh and clever...(unlike sooo many spin-offs and copycat shows that appeared around that time).
Started in 93 .....First 5 seasons were quality... then came a rubbish film and got rid of Mulder... and the rest of the shows were pants.

It was the "24" of its day.
That said, just heard they're making a movie of 24 after season 5....

Taken from a classic EWJ episode..

(the Queen) "Now we shall test him to see if the microchip worked." (She turns towards Santa) "Repeat after me. Bad is good."
    (Santa) "Bad is good."

    (the Queen) "Good is bad."

    (Santa) "Good is bad."

(the Queen) "Val Kilmer was okay, but for MY money, nobody fills a pair of tights like Adam West!!"

(Santa) "Val Kilmer was okay, but for MY money, nobody fills a pair of tights like Adam West!!"

(the Queen, throwing her arms up in victory) "YES!! NOW HE TRULY IS EVIL!!

    ps. video game kicked asss#!

And never really came to a satisfying conconclusion if I remember correctly.

Looking at the list so far, with one or two exceptions, I think the 80's pees all over the 90's when it comes to TV.

If the (I feel like) Chicken Tonight advertisements are allowed under the umbrella of TV shows then Pigheads going for that if its not then its a runaway success for Match of The Day (Des Lynam and Alan Hansen making men women and young adults tingle with excitement every Saturday night.
Wine em Dine em Lynam and Dancing Romancing Hansen the bestest duo since Dempsey and Makepiece.

    For me, probably Father Ted.

I have to agree with Fr. Ted not being one of my favs it was perhaps very overrated. No offence to the Late Dermot Moran but he could not act and yes he didn't get the best comedy from the series that when to Ardel O'H and Pauline McG). It always seemed toooooooo set up for me to enjoy as a comedy. (Now remember you don't press this to open the door you press this.)

    My shows from the 1990's

    Millennium
    The Practice
    ER
The X-Files (Up to the movie, then it just got very X-Fily)
    Freeks And Geeks (Had to)
Ab Fab (But it should have ended after series 3 or maybe even series 2)
Blackadder (except for the first series)
    Friends
    3rd Rock From The Sun
    That 70's Show
Animaniacs (Good Idea, Bad Idea. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy? Ok love you bye bye)
The Den with Ray, Dustin, Zig and Zag
    Brisco County Jr.
    DFTG
    The End

    Loads more.

    Red Dwarf.

I know it started in 1987 but I only discovered it in 1996. That defines good 1990's TV for me.
