Incline Treadmills are frickin hard

I spent a good while on an incline treadmill last night, on an incline of 10, even though it goes much harder. In five minutes I was zapped of energy, and my legs were filling with lactic acid. By the burnt calorie counter I had used the same amount as I would on a normal treadmill at incline 1? I did the same speed, but same amount of calories?

Does anyone use these? Could this be wrong? I mean it took so much more effort but I just used the same calories?

To put it very simply the calorie counter on the machines are rubbish.

Just work hard and eat right and the rest will take care of itself. :D
