Thanks flunked, I'm VDubbin on that site, post there nearly every day!
I have the bits bought, but I haven't gotten around to putting it all toghether. I've another E30 M3 shell that I'm building soon, and the light kit will be going into that, I think.
If you like that site you might also find these cool:

[EDIT]The blog in my .sig has a load of stuff on drifting (though there is a slight BMW bias :) )
    You might find it useful!

V, that's a legend of a find! Looks like they've taken a servo apart and used the logic board to control power to the LEDs.

/wanders off to tell the world!

Well. He is lucky as he is an only child so it is a bit easier to only have to spoil one ;)

    Anyway he deserves it

    HOLY ****TLLES! sorry but wow....
no do not get drift rubber, thats mostly nitro :O goto the local hardware / plumbing place and get ABS pipe, if thats not avaible get PVC pipe, bring the rim for size referance, thesrs a standard size pipe that is slightly to small, boil it and fit it to the rim :)
thats a very very nice car, how much did it set you back ?
:( im beginning to hate you and your son now :D
also i dont think it needs any more sclae decals :) it has all the "underground" "tuning" manufactores decals that are needed, very very nice body

I have some sets of those pipes already but would prefer to get some drift tyres and a different set of rims..

How much did I pay for it?
    Well
This never hit the ground yet.
It was built and sold but never ran..
You tell me what you think I paid.. :D

Tell Him he'll have no adjustable camber on that though, if he's still wondering!

I know but Is it that important for drift?

Nope, not at all, I've never had any need for it with ABS or PVC.
He asked me at the weekend, I think he was just stumped.

How do you think this would go on drift rubber?
    Tamiya's or Yok's ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,324 ✭✭✭tallus

    it's a beautiful model

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭2 Espressi

Drift rubber takes a while to break in from what I've heard. Baza in Fermoy has just got a set of HPI drift Radials, but he broke the rear Diff cover so it's out of action till he replaces it. ABS/PVC is cheaper though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭2 Espressi

it seems HPI make slicks as well as the radials, but the slicks don't seem to be anygood ...
