Head cold?

    Is there any reason not to go to the gym with a head cold/sore throat? Apart from not passing it on!

    The reason you are sick is because your immune system is weak. ALso, the illness itself will weaken it further. If you work out, this will tax you Central Nervous System ( not too bad if you lift like most people, but pretty bad if you do regular heavy squats and deads each week ). As you are already sick, and will have a weakened immune system, any further weakening of it could lead to further illness, or risk infection.

    Also it would just be polite to stay at home and get better and not get everyone else ill.
