Ok, I just cant eat it anymore. Its gone from mmmmm lovely tuna to euughghhhhhhh tastes like socks. But the great thing about tuna sambos was that I could prepare them in 2 mins in the morning. Had all the tuna stored in a air tight lunch box and then added it to bread just before I left the house. I need something as simple to get ready in the morning. High in Protein, healthy and tasty. Anyone any ideas?

    Cheers!

AGHHHHH! I meant for Lunch (11sees 1sees and 3seeesss) sorry!

Ps. Who eats tuna for breakfast?

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but if anyone could suggest an alternative to porridge I would really appreciate it. (I hate the stuff, it makes me wanna gag!)

I like smoothies some fruit, some yoghurt, milk, handful of oats and some scoops
of protein powder. breakfast of champs, you can also stick it in a bottle for later on in the day

you can buy pre-sliced smoked salmon in marks and spencers- bit pricey though. or get canned salmon and drain in just like tuna. Or chickpeas put through a blender with garlic to taste if you want. Or kidney beans as with chickpeas. hard-boiled eggs maybe?

try adding a low-fat fruit yoghurt to make it really creamy, or add a bit of honey or syrup and some sunflower seeds or other nuts.

seriously, there is no better alternative to porridge- king of the cereals :D

Porridge is the business. Try cinnamon. Or a small bit of brown sugar. Or add some berries. Or nuts.

I recently stayed at a hotel in America that had Oatmeal Summer Fruit Brulee (porridge with brown sugar on top, brulee'd (caramelised with a torch), and a handful of berries on top. Very tasty... (although it probably detracted from the healthiness of the porridge!)

if you're going to keep it for a while don't add the protein til just before you drink it- it'll start to degrade after about half an hour or so...

I meant for lunch in work. Easy to prepare, easy to consume. I'm a simple man. Anything that is complicated to eat is out the window

    ah bless... :p

why not make something the night before? Throw a chicken breast into the steamer, 15 min later add some veg, leave it another 4-5 minutes, chop up, add some flax, stick in a container, leave in fridge allowing you an extra two minutes in bed the following day. And on evenings you're feeling particularly energetic cook some brown rice to go with it.

The more i know. Cous-cous is really simple to make just add water and taste great add a protein shake and you got a lunch

Steamer? Nice idea, sounds nice. Can you eat this in three's? The fear I have of bringing a luch in a box is that I'll open it and inhale the food leaving me nothing for my 1sees and 3sees!

Was thinking of chicken wraps, having the chicken cooked and just putting it in a wrap with cajun dressing and salad?

problem with wraps is that they're often very poor quality and are quite processes. Wholemeal pitta would be better, or brown, nutty bread. And I totally know what you mean, my afternoon snack is usually eaten by mid-day...

ooh, there's an idea.. but where's the veg? "Noooo... the vegetables.. won't somebody please thing of the vegetables..."

(I think my sugars are low or something, don't mind me...)
