Just a quickie, if I'm doing a quick 30 min cycle at say 7am before work (I hate exercising in the evening) should I eat before I do the cycle and what's recommended if I should as my appetite isn't the best first thing in the morning.

Also is exercising at that time ok compared to leaving it till after I come home from work ie, is there any difference in benefits.

    Cheers.

    CL

if you don't eat beforehand you'll be running on an empty tank and burning fat rather than giving your muscles a full workout. I couldn't do it but i'm not a morning person anyway. what about forcing down a banana or one or two muesli bars at least.

whatever works for you is good but I prefer doing it when my body is fully warmed up.

if you wanna lose bodyfat then dont worry about not eating, eat after the morning exercise.theres no disadvantage to exercising in the morning ,it may be advantagous to you as exercise in morning can keep your energy levels up for the day and wake you feel more alert.

I do my weights in the morningtime, and almost invariably, by the time I get home from work in the evenings, it's too late to eat anything before cardio (or indeed afterwards). So I have a small glass of apple juice before I leave the house, in both cases, just so that I'm not feeling totally dry.

I'm not a morning person either but it's the only time I can do weights without adding 20 minutes of (equipment-)waiting time to my session!
