Anyone using Maximuscle Progain - no effects?

    I've been taking MaximuscleProgain since 9th December, and have so far not put on any weight or see any physical improvements.

    I do about 50mins workout(no cardio) 3 times a week, and have 2 scoops(Maximuscles recommended amount) 10 minutes after my workout. I'm pretty sure I'm doing my muscle building correctly, because I feel the burn a day or two later.

    Maximuscle also say that if I don't see an increase in weight, I should add another scoop for after my workout.

    Should I take at other times too, like when I'm not working out?
    Should I add some creatine to the protein dosage I'm taking already, to build more muscle with heavier weights?

    Diet - lots of chicken, turkey, rice, potatoes, the odd fry. No veg though
    Height - 5'9"
    Weight - 70kg

    I personally think progain is the biggest waste of money. Weight gainers are ridiculously cheap to make, cabrs cost about 10c per kilo at most for them I'd say. Progain is what, E60 for 2.5lbs? If you want to put on weight w/o a weightgainer (I sell them but don't take them personally) just eat more. I think, looking at your diet, that you're not eating enough. I take 700g protein/day at least, as well as fats and carbs, which brings me to around 5000kcals - I've kept lean and put on a lot of weight with this diet and that's without weightgainer - it's handy though if you don't have access to solid food during the day...

    Diet seems ok, i'd skip the spubs in favour of some brown pasta, are you eating enough? 4-5 medium sized meals a day?

    how many calories do you eat during the day? Progain is only a supplement, nothing more and do you have other supplements like multivitamins and stuff. And you really shouldnt buy Maximuscle, their stuff is ridiculously over priced! :D

    the best ive found is optimun nutrition mass gainer for gaining, and for 60Euro for 12 lbs u cant go wrong. But are you giving yourself enough rest time? your body could be overworked or your not increasing the weight as you go. i was like yourself around a year ago..was stuck at 10 stone, now 13 and only 5'10 ..( was 7stone 3 years ago! d madness!)..lots of rice chicken pasta turkey etc..and if your partial to eggs..4 eggs scrambled (without the yoke) and a roll after a workout i found to be very helpful..and drink more milk, really helps..hope i cud be of some help

    It took me 3 months of eating till I felt sick to put on a stone. I then lost this stone in a month where I couldnt go to the gym with injury. The good part of that was that when I stripped down the weight I was left with a nice bit of muscle.

    I'll give you an example of a day of bulk eating.

    Breakfast - full fat shake, on serious mass (like drinking oil) then bowl of oats and two slices of wholegrain toast with real butter

    11 - two heaviy packed tuna sambos with weightwatchers mayo and olive oil

    1 - two heaviy packed tuna sambos with weightwatchers mayo and olive oil
    and some fruit

    3 - two heaviy packed tuna sambos with weightwatchers mayo and olive oil

    5:30 - Dinner 2 chicken fillets with potatoes and rice and veg

    gym

    8 - 9 - Protein shake with oats, boiled eggs and chicken fillets and toast as above

    Protein shake as above. Olive oil added to everything, I mean everything. Eat till your stomach is protruding all day. Flood your body with water. You will put on weight fast.

    Can I take my ProGain on days when I'm not going to the gym? I'd still have regular meals though, I wouldn"t use it as a meal suppliment.

    Yes, you have to take it regurallarally and contantly to see effects

    Would I not just be putting on fat then? Excess weight, that's not going into torn muscle after the gym.

    Fat doesnt turn to muscle. Think of fat as energy inside a battery. Your muscles need energy to grow. With your metabolisim you may put on a little fat by doing this bulk eating, but you will also be putting on muscle. Once you finish this bulk eating, your metabolisim will probably naturally break down the fat quickly and you will be left with more muscle.
