Promiscuity Rating

1. Take the age you lost your virginity away from your current age.
2. Subtract the number of years you were in a relationship (with anyone) since losing your virginity
3. Divide this number by the amount of people you have slept with, and this gives your promiscuity rating - the average number of people you slept with per year when you were single

example (not my actual stats, in case anyone I know is reading this)

Current age: 40, lost virginity at 20, in a relationship for 10 years total, slept with 10 people

40-20-10: 10 10/10: 1, promiscuity rating of 1.

mine is 3!

Well basically this is my stats:

Sexually active 9 years.
But I've been in 2 serious relationships since then (lasting 4 & 5 years respectively & only a few weeks in between.
Now I'm on my 3rd relationship, again only a few weeks since the previous)
I've had 3 sexual partners in total (well intercourse anyway)

so, 9-9= 0
3%0=??????????????????

So is my answer infinite or what?

no the higher the number, the more promiscuous. I'm puzzled at how people are coming up with negative numbers but I'm no maths whizz TO SAY THE LEAST.

basically:

Step two removes the amount of years you've been settled: leaving the amount of years you were available. then, divide that by the amount of partners you've had in that time to average it out

but, if over 2 years i had 5 partners that'd give me .4
or if over 2 years i had 3 partners that'd give me .6
and if i'd had only one partner over 2 years, my score would be 2.

Or am i mis-understanding the very simple instructions?

dunno bout that....7 years since i lost it...no long term relationships over a year.. 7-0=7. Divide 7 by 19..is 0.36..if i had less partners it would be higher....

That's odd, I would have said the closer the number was to 0 would be higher.

Say your answer after question one is...10.
Then you take away the amount of years you've been settled. Say it's 1 or 0.
So we have 9 or 10. Then divide by...10 - left with 1
divide by 15 - left with .6
divide by 20 - .5

ok that kinda makes sense because its aimed at finding out what your average is for the years you've been single, and you've not been single really since you became active. so, 3 partners, 3 relationships, gives you 0.

but I'm sure its a lovely 0.

You divide the number of people you've slept with by the number of years you've been single since losing your virginity, not the other way around.

edit: sleepy is right, I got the division part the wrong way round. Who knew division wasn't commutative! sorry all.

ok, so you've been in relationship since you lost it, therefore you don't have an average amount of people you've slept with per year as a single person. I really should have explained that in the original question!
