Groin Strain

Need some advice from people who have had a groin strain injury in the past and the quickest way to aid recovery.
I have tried to rest it as much as possible but its impossible to get to work without some degree of cycling or walking, i rested it quite a bit over xmas but still the problem persists and i know its probably a job for a physio and i will go to one but apart from that id like to hear what people found most effective in recovering and how long it took, i havent played sport for 3 weeks now and its getting quite frustrating.
    Any advice appreciated,thanks

You might consider going to see a sports physio. I had a bad groin strain a few years back that just wouldn't go away. A couple of sessions a week for a few weeks and exercises at home and all was good again.
