Normally I buy the boots 'basics' mouthwash (great value at €1.10) but I was in Lidl yesterday, just gettin a few bits and I saw their mouthwash and it was even cheaper so I bought a bottle-Oh my God, it's like gargling fcukin battery acid! Anybody else tried it? I got the blue stuff with alcohol (they have alcohol free ones too). After I usedit I read the back and it does clearly state in bold underlined text that t has a "particularly strong taste", and they're not fcukin kiddin I can tell you!

Don't alcoholics use mouthwash to get a cheap hit?

Even the most hardened, old spice addled alkie would knock himself out if he actually swallowed Lidl mouthwash. :v:

    hahaha!

Well I've never tasted mouthwash that didn't taste vile, so I dunno what to make of this... It only stays in my mouth for 15 seconds and then it's out and my mouth feels fresh!

:D I tried it before - the red bottle - and my poor tastebuds got such a shock when I sloshed it around that I swallowed a bit by accident. I sprayed the rest out of my mouth choking and coughing like mad, gagging it up - not a pretty sight first thing in the morning. Ive stuck to my regular brand since. Too young to die!

Their bottled orange juice is bloody lovely :v: Cereal ain't bad either. Their own brand "american cola" however, is the mankiest battery acid piss you can drink.

The Eucalyptus bath stuff is actually quite good.

The expensive toothpaste seems fine, the cheaper one makes an excellent grout.

Aldi fruit juice is better , the expensive 0.75L ones.

it's not that bad!! it stings a bit, but it does the job

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 955 ✭✭✭LovelyHurling

Come to think of it ma got really nice apple pies there at christmas in aldi. i dont eat mince pies so any attempt at fitting in was met with much joy and fanfare, anyway there i was munch munch munch *these are great yum* and she said "oh yeah got those in aldi", well i nearly vomited in her face. ugh. Im surprised at her tbh for deceiving me like that, who knows what was in em

The blue stuff with alcohol? I've used that, didn't really notice anything special about it. I think the only thing I did notice about was the "With Alcohol!" sign on the front of the bottle, like that's something to boast about!
