Hi, looking to take up swimming again.. btw I'm a fatty fat now, but I used to be decent and was making steady progress towards national records when I was younger :D So I need a club who won't laugh at my obese ass, with a decent pool as the title suggests. But it has to be northside, Santry, Drumcondra, Ballymun etc.. any suggestions? Cheers:)

Olympic? I'm pretty sure it's a bog standard 25m pool. But I hear it's excellent.

However, I believe the OP is looking for a club rather than just a pool.

www.CoolmineSports.com is beside the Blanchardstown centre. That's more west than north, but still northside. =)
Then there's Westpoint and the National Aquatic Centre.

The Westwood Gym in Clontarf has a 50 metre pool.

It also has a Dracula Museum... which is pretty cool...

Oh... just remembered the Sportslink gym in Santry... that should be the closest for you.

It's a horrible website and seems a little out of date... but I think they have a pool there now. My nephew does karate there each week.
