    Hey all,

I've always done indoor sports over the winter to keep me fit, but am unable this year for a few reasons.
I've decided to start jogging to help with this.
I've done a fair bit of jogging before over the summer months, but never during the cold months.
Is wearing shorts a good idea?
For tops, a t-shirt and sports sweater / hoodie would be my plan.
No doubt I'll warm up fast once I start up, but is there anything I need to do once I get back home?
e.g. Is a luke warm shower best as soon as I get back?
I guess warm up and stretching is even more important before I start out?

Just need to know so I dont get more susceptible to colds / injuries etc..

    thanks.

The usual things of warming up and stretching, good runners on your feet. I would suggest Asics 1080's myself. Keep your chest and next covered to avoid cold on these area's as this will be the quickest way to get sick!!!!

Whenever i jog in the cold i always have a nice shower and a warm cup of tea when i get home. Works for me.

The hardest part is getting out there - I'd usually wear a sweater or something like that for warmth and maybe a hat if it's not during one of the periods where I have it lost... Shorts are fine, you do warm up though it may seem hard to believe for the first few minutes, you forget about it after that and feel pretty good (generally).
