    Ok,

Need to get my fat ass back in shape again and lose about 2 stone.Hopefully I can do this in about 2-3 months.

Gonna be going down the gym 3 times a week, and cutting out all the crap I eat so got that covered.

Just wondering if theres any supplements that will help speed this up.I used to take hydroxycut a while back, but found that to be too caffine based.Felt edgy while taking that which is no good obviously...

Anyone know of any night time fat-burners or similar that do the job well??

    Cheers

    Hard Work.

You might want to re-evalutate your goals instead of saying you're gonna lose 2 stone in 2-3 months, with all the good intentions in the world you may not acheive this. Aim for 1-2lb weight loss a week, which is a safe amount to lose.

Coming on a fitness forum and asking for a quick fix won't win you many friends either, so i won't bother posting any diet or workout advice.

What strong reactions to a simple question....

Where exactly have I asked for a quick fix?Is drinking whey protein after workouts a quick fix to buliding more muscle? No, it's to supplement the work that you are doing, and as already stated i'll be in the gym 3 times a week and am looking for something to supplement this.

Hope it's not too cold for you up there on your pedestal.

The bare essentials would be to get a multivitimin and omega 3 oils. Theres plenty of advice on www.bodybuilding.com however be skeptical as to all the marketing bull****. Sesathin sounds good, but Ive yet to experiance it.

If you're looking to lose 2 stone over 2-3 months thats looking to lose between 2.3-3.5 lbs a week which is way above the recommended 1-2lbs a week. At that rate chances are you'll be losing lots of water and lean muscle, not to mention it won't stay off. that's pretty much what I'd class as a quick fix.

we're not on pedestals, we're working our asses off to push ourselves to be in the best shape we be by working out and eating right, not by using non-natural chemical stimulants to do something we can achieve through the old fashioned way- we're not as afraid of a bit of hard work as you seem to be.

Sorry bud, but ya kinda asked for it.

What exactly would you know about my motivation from reading words on a screen?

Maybe the goal of 2 stone in 3 months seems ambitious to you, but i've done similar before.

Not interested in using chemical stimulants, and have anyway since deciced to take 1000mgs of L-ornithine before going to be on an empty stomach.

Thanks to ajnag for sending me in the right direction, probably the only person who wasn't a preachy fucck in their reply

Eh, you posted to get advice and we're giving it. And isn't the fact that this isn't the first time you've had to crash diet pretty much reinforces what we're saying?! Yo-yo-ing your weight like that is nothealthy. Even pro's will extend their weight loss over a longer time span than that.

Your body, your life, but it just doesn't sound like the right way to go.

    Hey daRobot,

I would say you're on track as it is. If you are serious about cutting out all the bad foods you'll start to see results in the next couple of weeks anyway. If you do keep up the 3 times a week in the gym too I reckon you'll be doing well. As for supplements, there's not really any that I would reccommend, they all promise a lot and tend to deliver a little at best. The only weight they'll help you lose is in your wallet.

You'll be better of spending your money on good quality food, i.e. lean protein (chicken, turkey, fish) and cut out all the white stuffs (bread, rice, pasta) in favour of brown rice/pasta/wholegrain bread. There is some evidence that flaxseed oil can help reduce bodyfat, you'll find that in previous threads. Olive oil will also help.

Keep your meals little and often for best results and above everything else cut out sugar (that goes for the hidden sugars in foods too, so scrutinise the labels on all foods) and get plenty of green veg.

Your goals are a little optimistic in my mind, but better aim high and hit somewhere in the middle than aim low right. If you start dropping in the region of 0.5-1kg a week you'll be doing great.

    Good luck

I'm gonna give the same advice i give to everyone, anything like what you have asked for is an AID and should not be used from the get go for best results.

When you start to diet, over the first week to four weeks, you metabolism begins to shift down a few gears, as your body's instinct is to hold whatever weight it can in these circumstances. Using your aid ( for a half does ) at this point in time will give your body a boost and amp your metabolism. In another 4 weeks or so, go to the ull does to gain the same effect. All in all, that about 12 weeks covered, which is more than fine for a good diet.

After that, up the carbs and healthy fats for about 2 weeks and then do the same again.

    Simple.

Oh yeah, and CLA has shown to be off great benefit, but it can take a few months to kick in.
