New Sticky. Feel free to add your own, with reasoning.

    I'll get the ball rolling.

    Grey Brother

Ran in the beginner's chase at Exeter on Monday(3.25) but was involved in that mini pile up early on and was quickly pulled up. The horse was backed in from 16s to 6s so clearly a big run was expected. It will be interesting to see where he goes next, and also what price he'll be...will the bookies and odds compilers remember the gamble from yesterday or will they just see the dodgy form letters and figures beside his name and install a double figure price for him again?

    Interesting.

Falcon queen today in the 3.25 in thurlus who was running on in the finish when 5th behind a improving nine o.Ard hudie finished 4th that day but falcon queen should have enough scope for improvement over ard hudie who is twice the age of falcon queen.Gerry Cully is known for getting horses handicaped off low weight and can often land a gamble.

ye i had that horse myself and quite fancied it.

GREY BROTHER is racing on the 9th

DAVIDS MARK is a horse that impressed me in his last race but was blocked off and he is racing on the 9th aswell.

    could be a good monday

    (1) Grey Brother can't be great when the owner just sold it.

    (2) Whenever something like this happens everyone is watching out for it and it deliberately loses.

    (3) It will probably be a non runner Monday or finish nowhere at best.

Keep the cash in the pocket lads.

Well, firstly, tell me what owner sold the horse and who owns it now?

    DAVIDS MARK is not running.

GREY BROTHER is forecasted to be 6/1.

with richard johnson on board he has to have a great chance.
    johnson is in super form.

Well are you going to add to this or what? You're probably going to wait now and hope that (a) he's a non-runner tomorrow, or (b) loses tomorrow and then come on and gloat...well frankly I think that's pathetic. You come on here and say the stupidest of things....Steve Staunton cert for manager...this horse is a cert...that horse is to be backed next time...when really you're probably just making all this up. Grey Brother is tackling some hot company tomorrow and may not win, however there are legitimate reasons for watching out for the horse since his last run.

And I'm still waiting to hear what owner sold the horse and who the new owner is...why are you avoiding the question?

Out today at 5/1. Tipped by the Guardian and News of the World.

Hopefully it will do the business for you but I won't be backing. Good Luck.

Listen fade, Im not going to get involved in a slanging match. I really wish you the best of luck and it obviously has a chance whatever the outcome of the race. I was not trying to undermine your opinion, just giving another one.

Best of luck with today's big tip.

Well it was a bit of a joke of a race...all but two falling. Grey Brother ran a poor race and with that you were right Finnpark. Two points you made though can be held up to question:

The horse has never changed ownership since day one.

I don't think deliberately lost, although it would be good to hear an explanation for the poor showing.

Well I was sure it did although im sure you checked this out.

All crap aside, it won't be a horse I'l be following in the future.

Anyway, hard luck and hopefully you will make your losses back.

Dammit. When fade started this thread last week, I was going to put up No Where To Hyde as one to follow and I forget why I didn't get around to it. I knew he was entered in the Pierse Hurdle (coming this Sunday) and now I've just read that he's been well backed for it, coming into around 8/1 from 16s.

He was a good third behind Feathard Lady in a handicap at Fairyhouse in early December (admittedly receiving nearly 2 stone) but he looked a lightly-raced, progressive hurdler who could win a handicap next time out. The form of the race looks solid - 4th home, Escrea, hacked up in a handicap a couple of weeks ago and of course the winner is now Champion Hurdle favourite.

The 2nd in that race, Don't Be Bitin' is also one to look out for. Maybe 2m2f - 2m4f suits him better.

A novice chaser to follow in England is Amicelli. Trained by Philip Hobbs, he made his chasing debut in a hot little novice's race at Exeter last week. Quiet in the market, he finished a close 4th behind Idle Talk and two others with previous chasing experience. The further the better for him but he would seem to prefer a left-handed course. He progressed well over hurdles last year winning some novice races and running well in a couple of decent-class races. He could do the same over fences.

    Poker Player

The only race I managed to catch today. Missed about 8-10 lengths at the start but ran on very well at the finish. May be a win in him next time.

Bon temps ruler for the pierse hurdle sunday. He needed his first run out this year as he did not run since winning a big race in fairyhouse beating mansony who is a good horse who was second in the race last year behind essex. If you look at the form of the race that he beat mansony in,you will see that he had several runners behind who are entered for the pierse hurdle.A lightly raced runner who is still improving should run a great race off low weight sunday and is currently 14/1 with most bookies.

Also Allez Petit Luis could run a big race at big odds for colm murphy.

    Spanish Lace [WON]

Two very impressive runs to date, including a lightening finish when slow away last time. Has been in the book since that run and is declared to run in the 5pm at Wolves tomorrow. Will probably be at the top of the market.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

RP Forecast 11/4. Only has the Noseda newcomer to worry about but Noseda's debutants tend to need to come on for the run (ala Just Logic yesterday)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

Satisfactory enough. Could be had at 11/4 today, opened 15/8 backed into 5/4 won in workmanlike fashion. Again did his best work at the end, was probably too well drawn so was up too close to the pace...will go better over further.

Entered at Southwell tomorrow. Forecast to be around 6-1, that's a great price in my opinon.

Drifted like a horse that was never gonna win, and never got a mention. This is a horse who's always well backed when a win is expected...as soon as he drifted I knew the writing was on the wall

    Le Royal.

Was tailed off for most of the race on Saturday at Southwell, only to finish like train to be 4th over 2m 4, if he steps up to 2M6 or 3 Miles he is one to watch. Was backed from 66/1 into 20/1 so was not unfancied.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

I will probably have a bet on Le Royal but I would be a whole lot more confident if the ground was a bit softer, the last race was on soft ground and most of his better form was also on soft ground, the ground is good, g/f in places today. The step up in trip looks like it will suit. The betting should be interesting as he backed from 66/1 to 20/1 last time out.

Le Royal has drifted out to 12/1 on Betfair, it's probably best to wait until next time on him, the ground looks against him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,757 ✭✭✭masterK

What a nutcase of a horse. Was totally detached from the field again for most of the race then made up a huge amount of ground to finish 6th, no chance of winning he got that far behind. A week 10lb claimer on board didn't help matters, one of those that could do with the McCoy treatment.

Last two runs were very encouraging & looks to have found something recently.

Next off Tuesday @ Southwell 13:30 where he has won CD

    Celtic Sammy

Fell on saturday at 4/6 favourite over hurdles while cruising in the lead 4 out, will win a race soon, it looks a real good act. It should have won easy.

It looks like an impossible race to pick a winner so anything could happen. It is a total outsider at 33/1 on Betfair but in a 7f handicap race anything could happen, it all depends on how well handicapped it is and whether or not it is out to win.

Horse seems to have a lot of speed but got no kind of run today. Definite future winner.

    Brave Rebellion

This is a dead cert for you in the future, make sure and kep a note of it. Finished 3rd yesterday in Catterick after drifting out to 6/5 but this horse did not try. It was not out to win yesterday but should easily win a race of similar standard in the future. However, he does good ground - don't back if ground worse than good. Yesterday's ground was totally against him too.

PURPLE PATCH ran a good race today to come third at 40/1.it finished like a train and a step up in trip should suit him nicely.there was small support for him before the race too so he might be one to look out for.
