    my grandad and his brothers were all in the ira around 1915 and onwards.i know one got a medal for ambushing a bunch of black and tans before they attacked his town in donegal and killed them.not sure which medal he got for it though

    Was googling some other family stuff when this popped up

    have 3 medals @ home

    2 for my Grandmother and 1 for my Grandfather

    Actually been looking info on what they were awarded for
