    "Plans by Justice Minister Michael McDowell to build CSI Ireland's HQ comes in the wake of a report which paved the way for the establishment of a DNA database.

    The Law Reform Commission's report on the establishment of the long-awaited databank was published last November with recommendations that it should contain the DNA profiles of those convicted of the most serious crimes."
