Chinning Bar

    Just a quick question!

Does anyone know where it is possible to buy a heavy duty chinning bar? All the places that I have looked, both online and offline, only sell the ones you attach to your door. I don't really want to use one of teh door ones though incase it damages it.

Alternatively would it be pretty easy to make a good quality chinning bar?

As a final question are the towers that have the bars for dips on them also expensive?

    Cheers!

If you can use a welder making a chinning bar wouldn't be that hard are you going for a tower sort thing or a wall mount one?

The chinup/dip towers are around 190-200 euros and can be got in vjhomefitness. I personally wouldn't spend that on a tower and instead would save up for a power cage with a chinup bar which is a far better and more versatile piece of equipment. You will pay around 330-350 euros for a basic Powerline powercage if you get it from Gymratz in the UK (that price would include delivery) You might be able to get this cage a bit cheaper from Star Fitness here in ireland.

I train at home. I use an eazy bar threaded through the rafters for chins etc

Ive heard of people using a bit of rope or a heavy towel thrown over the rafters too. But obviously this all depends on where you train and if you have rafters etc!

For dips. Grab two sturdy chairs. (could save yourself a fortune imo)

    Goodluck:)
