Game in Liffey Valley had the options/packages on display yesterday
but dont know if in stock
although they did have a lot of other items marked out of stock but no such labels on Xbox 360's

try around. My wife got one on Christmas eve in HMV on grafton st, she was buying some presents when they took 10 in. they were not back orders and went on sale straight away.

It would be worth having a shot at Power City. I was in there 2 weeks ago and they had loads of stuff that wasnt available elsewhere, e.g. psp's etc and had some xbox boxes...

I'm on the hunt aswell.
On Christmas eve gamestop liffey st said theyd have more by new year, today they said first week in January. I've heard rumours next big shipment isnt until March - maybe by then they'll have some of the problems with the console (e.g. overheating, noise, cd scratching) sorted out?

dont know any irish consoles to overheat/scratch discs :rolleyes: (unless your dumb enough to move the console while playing a game) and i dont think they can "change" or "fix" or "patch" the noise, its a very powerful machine in a small box, thats why the fans are needed, and noisy.

Did you get a console on it's own or did you have to buy a bundle and if a bundle how much?

I went to smiths toy store (I have vouchers from Christmas for there) and I was told it would be two weeks before they got them in.

thanks for the heads up on BT2 ian - I got my hands on one in there yesterday.

It was a bundle and I didnt want to buy a bundle but in the end the heart won out over the head and I bought the bundle which was €575 and included an extra wireless controller and PGR3 and Project Dark Zero.

Those games are 60 each on play.com and even more in Irish shops, and the controller is gonna set you back at least €45 so it just about works out alright if you want the games. Thing is, I don't want these games as I had PGR3 already for a mere €20 from a friend who works for MS, and I'd rather spend the PDZ money on Call of Duty 2......so I'm putting the games up for sale in the For Sale section

How much are the highstreet retailers selling the Premiums for? Prices are around €410 online so I guess they're a bit more expensive in the shops?????

€409 but alot of shops will make you buy a package including extra games etc.

XtraGame in The Square are getting in shipments every week for the next while. Went in on Wednesday put on a pre-order & they called to say they had one for collection on Thursday!
Premium & core afaik.
