Its simply because Cromwell's actions in Ireland are really secondary to his contribution to history as a whole

Exactly, there was more to him than what happened here in Ireland.

I wonder if there are any Britons alive today or recently deceased who society will someday be putting on that list? Was Mosely really as bad as the 20th century got?

Very true, people view Cromwell's actions in Ireland as the defining moment in his life, which is of course, rubbish.

How many people did Haig chearfully send to thier deaths.
Still reckon Bomber Harris takes the biscuit for pigheadednesss.
Maggie, take into account the social divisions , waste of North Sea Oil revenue and northern England / Scotland.

Ah but Thatcher was a ledge in her own right! I reckon in 20 years people will look back on her career with more praise than criticisms...
Haig however is deffo a candidate but whether Britain could have won the war without him or not is very debatable. Then again it's bad form to claim that anybody at all deserved to 'win' WWI

Bomber Harris, yes but dont think he was a Briton could be wrong. What an asshole though.
