Irish team for the Nations Cup

Allright people, time to get off your asses and play some competitions.

Im putting in a bid for captaincy of the irish team(sounds fancy, don't it?) for the clanbase nations cup. We will be playing against other countries for a grand prize of prestige, coke and hookers*.

We need 8 people to play this game.
Max of 5 people from the same BF2 clan.
I'm going to hold a little tryout tonight to see whose good enough to play.

Not enough interest from other clans or individuals.
Due date is 28th of the month, so if we can get 7 dedicated players to commit before then, I can enter a team.

TiG has enough players to make this happen, but its limited to 5 players per clan, of which only 3 can play in a match at a time. for redundancy's sake, we'd need 7 committed players, at least from outside TiG. Otherwise theres no point in doing this.

Perhaps next year.

IM game but I see I missed out on the tryouts. We had a match to play last night so I couldent have made it anyway. But I dont mind subbing put my name down. Being in a clan I realise the importance of subs, its often hard to get 8 players out for a match no matter how many players ya got in the clan. I`ll add ya to my msn fuzzy. Im registered with clan base and have my GUID`s entered for all battlefeild games also. I asume this will also be a requirement?

It would depend on when the games would be played, but I think i'd be interested in this. I've been trying to find a clan or anyone serious about playing in CB for a while now. Just haven't found anyone that had enough teamwork.

I can do spec ops, medic, engineer, anti-tank, and assault, but i'm **** as sniper and can't hit **** with the support gun.

If it came down to it and ye hadn't enough I would be willing to be a sub , don't think I would be much good as a 1st team player as I have only played one official war in BF2 , all of my war experience is in a different game .

Also be willing to show up to try-out night to make sure ye have enough to make a game of it .

See, the thing is; players would have to be free at least 2-3 nights a week for training and tactics. PLayers would *have* to be on TS(voip app for gaming) and so on.

Players would also have to be very very used to playing as a team, using squads, taking orders, spotting stuff, using TS properly, etc.
In short, good clan players would be what is needed.

Theres no point in doing this half-assed and getting completely fcking owned by lithuania or somewhere. Better off to wait until next september or something and start getting next year's event together. On the plus side, I've done a fair amount of legwork and chatted a bunch of CB cup admins and know exactly how the competition is run. This will make next year's much easier to get off the ground.

I know it was left very late, but we only found out about it at a relatively late stage.

If I can get definete guarantees from 7 players who fit the above bill, I'll go ahead with this. Otherwise I'll step down and let someone else give it a lash.

Can you use rolling subs?

Would imagine if organised properly you would get 16 from here as you only need 8 at game time you should be covered with players. Tbh its more a organisational nightmare than anything else really.

i'm game as Sub - I can play infantry if needed but would prefare Air duties of the winged variety, unless others have a makings on it who would do a better job than me..
