What do you take and where do you buy it?

Hey all, just curious as to what supplements ( type and brand ) people take and where they get them? Asking this as i was walking through town the other day and saw a health food shop selling Cyclone by Maximuscle for 70 euro a tub and wondering it anyone actually pays that kind of money for something they could get cheaper else where!!!

Also have been using EAS Phosphagan Elite, looking to get some more. All got at bb.com in the states.
I used to always buy Maximuscle products up until a year ago when I first started reading Boards.ie and would never go back, far too pricy and tastes like S*@t.. Still have a 1/4 tub of Cyclone (strawberry) in my room and tried it when I finished the EAS, nearly retched, couldnt finish it.

Hey Digitally, how much in total does it cost to get the Optimum sent over from the states???

I had serious trouble with bodybuilding.com once. Order 3 bottles of Nitrix, they charged my card, 2 weeks later cancelled my order and never told me. I only found out when i got my statement. I tried to contact them but they never got back to me with a reason. I wasn't too impressed!!!

i buy my whey online where you get a discount if you buy in bulk,i buy 3x 5lb tubs for 150euro with free delivery ,brands are reflex eas or usn.
maximuscle is a rip off,dont buy it anybody who is considering supplements.
im switching to reflex natural whey after current supply of whey runs out as it has no artifical sweetners flavorings and colorings.
i mix my whey with glucose (very cheap from health food stores) and consume after workout,it essential to take glucose/dextrose with your whey after a workout

It's a great product, actually made in Ireland as well, so i like that i'm buying off an irish company as well!

I was trying to get stuff in from bb.com as well and had the same problem, easygainer can get pretty much anything they have on bb.com for cheaper than anywhere else I've seen.

I use Weider megamass2000 from argos,12.95 for 1.5kg so its cheap as chips and very effective.Also creatine monohydrate from argos its about 40 quid for a month's supply.On the subject of creatine,i wont be using it again after this lot runs out,it gives me stomach problems and i really dont think the gains are worth the expense or the hassle.Thats my two cents worth!

Have used them four times now and I have to say have been pretty good up till now, I am disputing an order with them, as Fedex lost shipment:mad: , this was a month and a half ago and a dozen emails later and no replacment or refund, just after sending off dispute claim form to creditcard company.:mad:

Buy local, overseas shopping not worth the hassle or time if something goes wrong.

I found that when i was using maximuscle products I always had stomach problems,I just put it down to Creatine being v.hard on the system...but when I started using other creatine powders such as EAS never had the same problem.

Since they had to drop the ephedrine hcl from the product, it's basically just synephrine, yohimbine + caffeine which you can buy individually for cents.

You could make your own (far superior) ephedrine + caffeine stack for approx. 1/2 of the price of Lipo 6. Add in some green tea and/or synephrine for increased efficiency.

Otherwise Lipo 6 is reasonably cheap here.

As for the creatine, i suggest you use only Creapure if you are having stomach problems with it. Also maybe look into Kre Alkylyn or creatine ethel ester may be a good option for you.

I'm not 100% sure about the legal status of ephedrine in Ireland. That's the pharmaceutical product that is often used to make amphetamines hence the dislike of it... ephedra is the herbal version, normally taken from ma huang... you can buy it in bulk at mountainroseherbs or I sell it in STack 2 fatburners....

Exactly, i have taken ephedrine in the past, but be sure you have you doses right and have no problems with your ticker before you start throwing it back.

While largely it has been shown to be safe, some people do have issues with it.

Also, get your cardio down before you go near a fat burner anyway.

Basic setup of Higher Power Micronized Creatine (1kg),PureForm L-Glutamine Pro (500g) and a 5lb tub of Higher Power 100% Whey Power.
These 3 products are great value and I find then effective.
I also tried BSN NO-Xplode for a while.
A complete waste of money in my opinion and tastes like poison.
I am trialing the Universal Animal Pak at the moment ,I was using the AST Multi Pro 32X vitamins previously.
I didnt see much if any performance difference between these and standard supermarket vitamins.
