And BBC World is better than BBC News 24 unless you live in the English Home Counties.

I do, but I don't want News 24. However, BBC Four shows The World, which is fine as it's at peak time. When the explosion in Hemel Hempstead happened at the weekend I changed over to CNN to get away with it - only to have an interesting documentary interrupted by a breaking news update on the frigging fire...
I have no idea why Sky News is FTA on most satellites while Fox News is a Pay channnel. Frankly Fox News is rubbish compare with Sky and yet are essentially the same owner.

That's one channel I don't get on Telewest cable. I heard somebody at Fox News accuse the BBC of 'frothing-at-the mouth anti-Americanism'. 'Frothing at the mouth'? now that's rich coming from the home of Ann Coulter. (She told a Canadian TV interviewer that Canada supported the US in Vietnam, when she actually meant that some Canadians served in the US Army there - could you imagine a Brit asserting the same about Ireland in the Second World War, just because some Irish citizens served in the British Army?:p)
    Poor old Scott Chisholm.

Imagine starting a new high-profile job on a TV station, believing it to be the restart your career needed, only to have the channel close down the next month .....

Oh my heart bleeds  - especially after the way his old man behave when he took over BSB in 1990. Abusive, hunchbacked little Nazi with a chip on his shoulder the size of New Zealand who went around kicking people in the shins. He's got emphysema - hope he dies a painful death....

Quite different. The British had to go to war in 1939. America didn't need to go to Vietnam.

    We are a Neutral country.

It would be more like if some was to suggest that we help the British with the Falklands war.

Actually not the case. News Corp only own 36.8% of BSkyB.

I can't help but wonder was ITV's acquisition of friendsreunited.co.uk inspired by News Corp's purchase of myspace.com though! The funding has to come from somewhere..

Whatever, you get the point I was making.

Anyway, the introduction of ITV bulletins on ITV2 and ITV3 should compensate for ITV News Channels, and if anyone's desperate for a full-length ITV News bulletin on the weekend they can watch the early morning one on ITV1 at 05:30. It used to be presented by some of the most wooden people you'll ever see on television, and incorporated the unlamented ITN World News
