Damn, I was hoping there'd be a video. When knackers do that kind of stuff to cats and dogs on haloween I'm horrified, however when it involves hamsters I just don't seem to care.

dont know how you're laughing tbh... shows the mentality of some people out there.
Scary as hell is you ask me... if they had a rocket big enough, I'm sure they couldnt give a **** strapping you or anyone to it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

Honestly, people who do that kind of thing to animals... There has to be something missing in the head....All serial killers used to torture animals when they were young ya know...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,963 ✭✭✭SpAcEd OuT

Well if you're up for it I'm sure I can find a rocket somewhere and strap it to you.

You're as bad(If not worse - YOU should know better) as the little knackers that did it.

How could you not help laughing?

Anyone who finds that funny really doesn't have a mentality that different from the thugs that did it.

Those sick bastards, I hope they get theirs in due course. As for those f***ers in Limerick throwing cats and dogs on bonfire's it gives you an insight of what people will be suffering in a few more years as a result of this kind of carry on. I don't think these kind of crimes should be treated lightly and should most definitly carry a jail sentance whatever their age is. Its just not normal rational behaviour. I suppose it comes from generations of people who don't give a s**t about anything or any body, They should be burnt alive and see how they feel, I'd certainly prepare a fire for them...bastards.

Jesus christ, that's absolutely sickening. Somehow I'm not surprised though, Limerick is such a ****hole.

On a slightly related note did anyone here on the radio today about the fishermen using live cats and dogs as shark bait?

They apparantly put the hook through the cat or dogs mouth while still alive and put them in the water they either drown or get ripped to pieces by the sharks.

Disgraceful, I dont see why you would even need to use dogs or cats as bait

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,258 ✭✭✭✭Rabies

    oh well...
    Lucky your not me then.

It is cruel, I'm not saying it isn't.
The image of a hamster strapped to a rocket made me laugh. Come on, let your mind go just a little. It is funny in a weird way.

I'm off to watch some Road Runner and Tom & Jerry cartoons.

When the story form the french island off east africa was investigated it turned out the (poverty sticken) fisherman used roadkill.
There was a pic of a dog with a hook in it's nose, AFAIK the pic was genuine but for a completely unrelated accident and should not be taken as proof of intent.

As the mother of two cats, two kittens and two chipmunks, I think if I saw somebody doing that i would lose my mind.
I would not be responsible for my actions. (I'd probably get the sh*t beat out of me but I wouldn't even feel it the rage would be too great)

Cruelty to animals ISN'T funny, it's not cool an the people who do it are most likely to end up killing ans torturing humans.

If I had my way, I would pair off all the people who do that, tether them together, cut the arms off one and then the other one would have to wipe his/her ass for all eternity.

This makes me a hypocrite yes. yes it does

Sigh, hmm that is quite horrendous to me, however the billions of animals killed in slaughter houses every year has me a little more upset.

Its a bit different in fairness. The hamster, cats and dogs died slow painful deaths. Well probably not the hamster, it'd probably have died before the rocket exploded

I'd have to agree with you there Tar.Aldarion regarding slaughter houses and also some farmers. I can't understand how people have to be so cruel to animals. The treatment they get in slaughter houses and in many farms leaves a lot to be desired. The least they could do is kill the animals humanely and prevent any suffering. I remember reading about a pig farmer somewhere in Ireland having to kill his pigs himself and the department of agriculture just seemed to think it was O.K. and this man had little or no training, this wasn't the worst i've heard of. I think the likes of Jamie Oliver has a lot to answer for regarding his latest series where he cuts the throat of a sheep without stunning it first. I was really mad about that one that they use these kind of tacktics to gain ratings for his stupid f*****g series. Great to see the back of that frog farm up the country though.

Unless you go and learn about how much worse those animals are treated don't talk about it tbh. It is slower, it is more painful.
Try to imagine the pain and the suffering that they endure day after day and night after night. Next time you get some soap in your eyes, try to imagine that pain for 3 or 4 days at a time. Next time you have a stomach ache, try to imagine liquid plumber being poured down your throat till you puke so much blood that you bleed to death. Next time you bump your head, try to imagine being a monkey and getting a steel plate smashed into your skull at 50 miles per hour. For that happens in the name of science.Continue in abundance till this day... As for space, six chickens to a 16 x 18 inch cage....
Sigh if only that were near the worst that goes on these days. Anyway google is our friend....
The thought that there are videos of the tortures that go on on the net....
sigh, if only slaughter houses had glass walls eh, and maybe if welfare was actually to inspect them...

    Edit, woot rant sorry.

The bottom line is people are making money out of animals and they have no respect for them, the thoughts of it make my blood boil.

That is distressing, how could anyone watch that happen. My dog was killed by a neighbour when I was 9, it was fed rat poinsin which I only found this out a year or two ago. If anyone hurt my dog now I would f*cking kill them. How anyone can be that cruel is beyond me, where could that hatred come from?
