    Crouch to score today.
Hate it when Arsenal are playing Bolton - bogey team.

Newcastle Vs Villa is the biggie today.
Might well see odds of next Ireland manager shake up depending on this result ;)
I feel Newcastle need this win more than Villa though.

Strongly think the boro will get the better of Chelsea today... off to the bookies I go :D

Morientes and Crouch are going for the same ball.

If that goal isn't given as an own-goal, the "Dubious Goals Committee" should be renamed the "Dubious Dubious Goals Committee".

How did he celebrate? I'd say he lost the head, wouldn't blame him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

I'm sure the keeper got a touch to the second goal. OG surely??? :p

Wigan showing some determination, decent shot at goal.

    Kewell off, Riise on.

    Alonso replaced by Hamann

Expect to see Cisse for Nando soon.

Wow, gotta hand it to the pool. When was the last time they conceded a goal? Even Crouch is scoring now. Perhaps 2nd place is on this year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,148 ✭✭✭Ronan|Raven

Great save by the wigan keeper from a gerrard freekick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

And we're into 2nd place, albeit for a few hours, how many clean sheets is it now?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Liverpool last conceed a goal against Fulham in the league and against Crystal Palace in all competition, which is 644 mins as I type this.

Morientes should have made it 4 a very bad miss.

Well that'll do nicely. The game is featured on The Premiership tonight and I look forward to Giles, Brady etc suggest we were just okay again.

    bolton 1-0 Arsenal

    19 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭Davei141

Arsenal players seem to be losing their heads, i can see a full team scuffle before the end of this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

Bolton must be our biggest bogey team, every time we play them doesn't matter what form we have going into the game- trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭Davei141

    Yeah, bolton 2-0.

I think Cygan is probably a wonderful human being but he's a poor excuse for a footballer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Blackburn losing to Everton with Andy Todd sent off, just when the team were improving their disciplinary record. Anyone know what he did?

Sunderland are drawing with Spurs 1-1 and Shearer put Newcastle one up with a penalty too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

Lemlin- Bolton more then others seem to be able to beat Arsenal tho. Remember back in the day when even Jim Magilton and Co, for Bolton could beat us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

arteta - just made it 2-0

if we sub off Cygan, and let Eboue come in, and switch Lauren over to the left, I could see a comeback. Leaving Cygan on = disaster.
Although Cygan isn't the worst he does spread trouble.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Dreadfull from Arsenal, to quote Corporal Jones "they dont like it up 'em!". Bolton seem to be quicker in thought and deed nearly every time.

    Sunderland score goal shocker.

    Mike.

RTE : "We apologise for the loss of commentary"

... in which case I'll be expecting them to apologise again when it returns!

Duff had a quiet first half, Mourinho lets him off the leash in the 2nd and he is beating players with ease. Took an excellent corner for Terry's goal and set it up on a plate for Drogba after making his way into the penalty box. Let him free permanently Jose!

Keane and Mido set up each other to score Spurs both goals. Looks like they're gelling as a partnership. :)

I don't suppose Kevin Davies has any Irish in him? I'd take him and Nolan as a pair if we could get them. Trundle can come along too and do keepy-uppys at half-time if he likes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

1626: A classic, old-school "shinner". Damien Duff torments Boro down the right and drags the ball back for Didier Drogba who is left looking for that imaginary divot as the ball balloons into the stand.

    From BBC

    United 1-0 up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,188 ✭✭✭growler

duffer played the best football i've seen of him this year, outstanding form and a real handful for boro. Fair play to boro though, they were one of the hardest teams to play against, chased every ball and always looked dangerous. Chelsea's shooting was abysmal though, could easily have been 5-0.

Nice to see the gooners lose , shame Sunderland let spurs get the 3 points though.
