Currently 11/4 with Ladbrokes...Hue and Cry.

About three weeks ago I was drinking with a well connected chap who told me to look out for this one when he finally hits the race course. My horse tracker mailed me yesterday today with the news that today is indeed the day. A win is expected.

I'm sure I'm being cursed big time for this...but the money did tell the story unfortunately. I got on early cause I firmly believed in this one and thought he'd shorten up considerably come post time. I assure you all we're only loaning this money to the bookies....there's a couple of big punts coming in the next couple of weeks and I'll be better informed for them.

Some will think I'm talking through my arse, a loser will do that for opinions but others might know different.

    Sorry again lads.

    Boo-urns :(

I think everyone here is big enough to know a tip is just that, a tip.

    Maybe next time......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,684 ✭✭✭scargill

something fishy there - price was steady all day and then it drifted before the off ! its a pisser when that happens especially when you've been given the tip in good faith and then you pass it on !

no worries - we'll get it back another day !

get your money back on the arsenal v reading match tonight .

Back on there being more than 2.5 goals in the match at 11/10 as I think this is a stand out.

I went on infor given a few weeks back that he was supposed to win on his debut...anything could of happened since then so I'm partly to blame for this one.

    We'll get them again.

    Ok....

I'm not going to post this in the tips section and I kinda hope this post goes unnoticed but I'll proceed anyway. Around the time that I got the Hue and Cry information (who I believe will still be a useful horse, no matter what happened the other day) I was given a slip of paper with the name of a horse..Aux le Bahnn, a talented pointer. He's entered in a bumper on sunday, a race that hue and cry had been in, but instead went for that ill fated race the other day.

Now, I won't have to tell most this but this is one of those tips where you really are taking a gamble because a lot of the horses are unraced and it helps to see a market etc but the connections are bullish about this one's chances....So again...not a tip...more of an eh....I dunno...eh...Crumbs..wanna help me out here.....

So you're basically saying it's an absolute certainty and we should all put our wages on it?

    Anyway...

RP forecasts him to be 7-1 2nd favourite.

Early prices have him at 9/4 favourite. Bit of a difference there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,230 ✭✭✭scojones

Cheers fade, I took the 9/4 price :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

I was looking through the entries for the weekend and noticed Hue and Cry is entered in the bumper at Windsor on Saturday, looks an intented runner too as Mick Fitz is confirmed to ride. Judging by the entries from the top stables it looks like being a fairly hot contest. His racecourse experience should be a big advantage.

I've just been told that he will be running again before Christmas but it won't be this weekend (which we know at this stage). It will be another bumper though and hopefully we'll be getting our money back.

    EDIT: Ludlow, 21st December.
