Father Ted for teh win! He's got a lovely singing voice, very like Celine Dion.

Family Guy, though Father Ted is a close second.

Father Ted is funny but I think it loses it's appeal after so long becuase it's just the same old episodes - I know that can't be helped but still....

    Family Guy for me.

I chose Family Guy too, although Father Ted would be a close second.

It'd have to be Father Ted. So stereotypical, ball-achingly hilarious and politically incorrect. Also (this is going to take some time) :

    1. Dermot Morgan grew up on my road.

    2. His mother lived in my house.

    3. I know his wife.

    4. His funeral was up in my church, outside my primary school and I saw the congregation during PE class.

Yup, definitely should have been multiple choice! It's so hard to choose just one

Jacob's Creek Chardonnay, 1995, actually. I love my Box Set! Father Ted for me too, although i also like Peep Show on Channel 4.

"I'm sorry, Ted. I didn't know you had to follow up a good idea with lots of little good ideas."

Father Ted and Family Guy have the best quotes.

    In conclusion - MONTY PYTHON!

Not the only one. But I do love Father Ted.
    " I'd say you might be...the second-best."
    " Oh...right."
" Well, I was thinking of those priests who work in very poor areas."
" Oh, yeah, Father Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the like."
" Well, I think Archbishop Tutu is a Protestant man."
" Oh right, so a Protestant is better than me?!"
And did anyone know that, according to Gooseman, his cousin co-wrote it?

To be fair the Monty Python TV show is n't as well known as the films. Wait is this poll exclusively for TV shows? Daniel has made himself confused

Also, Father Ted and Family Guy have givven us 2 great answers to any question beginning with why.
"Because you touch yourself at night" Family Guy
"Because when a man and a woman love eachother very much. . ." Father Ted

Did I mention that a girl who was in my primary school, her dad played Father Dick Byrne. And Goose-mans cousin did write Father Ted. It's just so classic and the type of comedy those damn-yanks can't understand-what's more to love about it.

Oh, and the winner of this year's Father Ted, his specialist subject in the final was Father Ted! It HAS to be Father Ted!:D

A year or two ago I heard there was going to be an american version of Father Ted. My guidance councellor was talking to us about . . . can't remember what exactly, some college I think. Not sure. Anyway she mentioned some guy who had gone there when she mentioned he was in a new Father Ted everyone suddenly started paying attention.
Anyone else heard anything about this cos I haven't, though I haven't really been trying.

    Also, I have a blog?

Every name up to Father Henry Bigbiggin is an in-joke.

Specialist subjects can be dodgy though. Remember when Father Ted went on Eoin McLove's show [a cash prize!!] and his final question was "What was Pope John Paul's name before he became Pope?"

    (".........Jim?")

Yes but that was a general knowledge question. If you remember, he got all his questions right on his specialist subject, William Shatner's Techwars

No, they should be in this poll. South Park are responsible for so much goodness in the world! Blame Canada? Uncle****er? Critter Christmas! Such genius and quality, it deserves to be on this poll! *stamps foot and bangs table*

Blame Canada. What genius. It makes such things as 'Cant someone else do it' and 'Fry did it' look tame. And never mind such great songs as 'The Garbageman' and 'See my vest'.

South Park sucks. I've dropped sandwiches and made better characters then they have.
