We tended to just take them ourselves. A lot of the people said "have it yourself girls" or something, so, yeah. Our objective was to sell everything in the box more than trying to collect as much money. It sounds heartless, but it was damn cold, and muffins keep us alive.

Where you outside selling them? How long where you selling them for?

I was only selling one day, but we were in Blackrock for about an hour and a half, maybe two hours, sold a whole box.

I think there was some kind of reward for the schools who took part in the Muffin selling today, and the presentation of the cheque to Temple Street, but our teacher said it would be boring so we went bowling instead. I would have liked to go.

So what did people think of the whole project? I think it was badly run by them, what with Muffins arriving late, and the fact that first of all we were shown a poster saying "Muffin Day", then they produced a "Muffin Week" one, then we got a letter saying it would go on for 4 weeks, and it actually only lasted 2 weeks.
Got us very confused, it did.

That presentation was on yesterday in my school. We spent AGES putting out loads and loads of chairs and cleaning the whole damn place. How many schools (out of about 20) turned up? Five. FIVE.
    *mutters*

But yeah, presentation wasn't all that interesting. 60,000 euro was raised. 30,000 euro went to temple street. The other 30k went to paying cuisine de france (and here was us thinking they donated muffins...), once off administrative costs, and marketing.
That was a bit of a downer, since hospital equipment most likely costs... a good deal more than that.

Also, eh? It was on for two weeks? We only sold for one week...

    Did we miss a lot?
    Was there tea? Was there?
I'm really surprised at the €30,000. I was almost sure it was going to be more.
And if it's any consolation, I wanted to go, but democracy took over. 24 to 1. :( 25 if you count the teacher.
