I was in Tiny Quinn and the Flax Seed Oil was in a small bottle (about a coke can size) was €9.75.

Is that crap? Where is the best place to buy it?

you can get ground flax seed in some of the health shops. Added benefit of getting the fiber also. Drink lots of water with it. The brand name is linwood's it comes in a gold foil shrink wrapped package.

    Hi Dave,

I take it in the mornings, I make my own muesli.

    1 Tablespoon Ground flaxseed.
    1 Tablespoon lecithin granules
    2 Tablespoon oats
    1 Tablespoon chopped almonds
    1 Tablespoon chopped walnuts
    1 Tablespoon of raisins.
    Fresh chopped pineapple or grapes.

Drink lots of water during the day

I would also take the oil in the evening mixed with yogurt and lecithin granules.

Dave, try an make sure you get the Linwoods brand in the foil packaging. I tried another brand in powder form and found it tasted terrible,

i think holland and barrett stuff is cheap. they always have major %'s off regularly. arthurs key in limerick. any time i was in tony quinns it reminds me of a brainwashing evil cleric from baldurs gate or somesuch. i know many scientific minded people who go in there for a good sneer at the falsehoods they spout! are they all brainwashed by this person? tony must have a charisma score of at least 20 to manage lasting mind control.....(DnD reference..)

(if any Neverwinter nights module creators are reading this i would pay for a custom made adventure with him as the evil boss. spreading evil with his potions and lies...)

I think one tblspn of flaxseed oil is the norm dosage.
Wouldnt you need alot more ground flaxseeds to get the equivalent dosage?

It also recommends taking it with food.

ground flax seed and flax seed oil quickly degrade once exposed to light or air, within 2 weeks so i'd go for the flax oil in the bottle for approx 10euro for 250ml's holf the brown bottle up to the light and see if the oil is completly clear,if there is any cloudiness/congealing dont buy as this indicates it is becoming rancid, also check dates ,i bought a bottle in tony quinn and it was a month outta date! brought it straight back and never returned to the kip, flax seed oil becomes toxic when it degrades so if it tastes very bitter dont use it and bring back to store.holland and barrett are crap quality flax seed oil, dont buy,get the organic cold pressed one from a fridge in a dark bottle

the ground flax that I mentioned above comes in a gold foil packaging and will keep in the fridge for 8 weeks

Did ye ever try Udo's Choice, Ultimate Oil Blend?
Its pretty pricy at around 25 euros for 500 mls but I find it very good, contains a range of healthy oils including Flax and sunflower as well as omega 3, 6, and 9's.

I just pour a table spoon over My porridge and again with my dinner. Thought it tasted like muck when I first had it but cant even notice it now.

It's great on caesar salads, but remember when you start taking it to begin with a teaspoon, increase over time to two tablespoons and drink plenty of water or you'll get bunged up.
