For me... 4 in December, and 3 in May (plus a project, fun fun). So not too bad... but still a bit of a pain.

21st of December are you serious? Agh well I cant complain tis my own fault I even have Christmas exams this year that and the fact that I only have to sit two, two hour papers in the whole exams makes it kind of invalid to bitch about the date. G'luck everyone!

blackrock exam centre is in...blackrock. Carysfort avenue. Very easy to find really.
Go back a few pages and ull find a how to get there guide (also on the ucd/exams page somewhere)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,689 ✭✭✭orangerooster

Ah Blackrock, the nice UCD campus with all its red bricked splendour. Not actually hard to get to at all- once you get to where the shopping centres are its just a matter of going down the right road.

RDS Industry Hall... the place where Sony gave us free booze :)

Anyways... it's at the main hall, but you'll have to go around to the side entrance which is on Anglesea Road iirc.

Poor plannin UCD...for gods sake you'd think they'd have my social life as their main priority!

Plus side tho i'm finished on the 17th!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,158 ✭✭✭Stepherunie

13th and 15th, only 3 hours in total for both papers so it should be okay, i do however find it disturbing that for my Radiation and Dosimetry exam I had a continuous assessment part that was worth 10% which was one hour and my paper worth 90% is also one hour.

i had an exam on the 24th finsihing at 5:30 last yr, they should have held off on putting up the timetables until them had got them split into courses.

    1/12
    2/12
    13/12
    17/12
    20/12
    21/12

    gah!

Well I thought everyone would be doin them all the way to the 24th, so I'll make the most of those extra 3 days :p I have a few gaps in-between them, so that'll be good for studying. After history I have about a week and a half to study for the next one!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,578 ✭✭✭Scraggs

hey just realised its not *that bad after all!! [i was up waaaay too early!]

Agghh no exams for moi just a bunch of coursework which I still haven't started yet! Get off your lazy arse Zane!!!

Am I the only who finds the thought of night time exams quite disturbing?

Anyway good luck to everyone. If you are missing notes become friends with the nerds sitting up at the front of your lectures, if you've done fcuk all like 97% of your fellow first year population... get to the library NOW! Blackrock in August isn't a nice place to be from experience!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,158 ✭✭✭Stepherunie

As the girl in the library I can tell you there's noone here.

Also I concur with the whole august thing - the worst experience of my life. I never want to go through that again - hence the library and before you ask the reason i'm on the computer is because i'm finding information for a hospital studies poster i have to put together.

Anyone who has an exam in the week 5/12-9/12 should seriously start complaining - that week was set out as a study week and the exams office can;t just decide to put exams in it becuase they can't fit them in anywhere else, should have thought about that earlier shouldn't they!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,865 ✭✭✭Syth

So who here is missing a course from the timetable?

    COMP4030, Machine learning isn't there. :)

    ECON 2280 - Intermediate Microeconomics 10/12

I'm not meant to have an exam in this UNTIL MAY!!! I have an Mcq on the 22nd of November in it anyway. I'm in 2nd year Arts.

Same goes for ECON 2501 Macroeconomics 12/12, ECON 2512 Quantitative Techniques 14/12 and ECON 2711 The Irish Economy 14/12.

Suddenly I have 5 exams instead of 1?? Can anybody explain to me whats going on??

crap. what happens when exam times clash?? iv two exams on the 15th. both are from 9 to 11!

*Exam office rearranges all of Kirby's exams be on three consecutive days, morning and afternoon*

    :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,541 ✭✭✭irlrobins

This is prob the first draft of the timetable and it is guaranteed to change many times before the final version. So I wouldn't worry if your exam is missing or there is a clash. It will be fixed in the end.

If you do spot a clash, let your lecturer know or contact Exam office in case they're not aware of it.

Y'know, for the sake of getting them over and done with, I wouldn't mind that :)
Plus I only have 4 exams, so it would only be 2 days.

    0wned. :)

I've one on the 12th, 20th and 2nd. There's also one that's missing from the list.
Economaniac - I'm pretty sure Micro and Macro aren't til May, sure they're only 1 class a week, not much to examine us on!
