Last attempt......BEERS 24th November

Right, since today turned out to be, surprise surprse, a complete and utter shambles I'm going to make one more attempt at a proper night out with a couple of weeks notice.

I propose Thursday 24th of November somewhere in town like the Porterhouse (the last one was great) at aorund 7:30-8:00 for kick-off.

A bit of notice is the only way its going to work folks and we had a great turnout at the one over the summer.

So are there any problems with the date or any other suggestions?

I wont bother with a poll this time.....i know how it upsets Zane

No can do sunshine, will be at the mad party on the 23rd in the Hub, my head will be in no fit state for more socialising. Sorry dollface.

However - you could all go to the hub the night before - lots of fun bands, all good for dancing and stuff, great atmosphere... just a suggestion!

Sounds good Peachypants- I'll have training, but I'll head in from there, so should be in by quarter past ten. Porterhouse is a great place, remember that 8.5% beer!:D Anyway if people are going to see this and see it constantly everytime they log on we need to have it stickied - Truckle any chance? Oh and I'd advise all newbies to send your mobile number to the email Peachy put up, trust me when your in a crowded bar looking for a load of us nerdy types - then failing miserably (cos were not nerdy, we're cool!), you'll be glad of having a number to ring:)

Looking forward to another porterhouse beers, great Belgian beer there! Think I'm gonna check out this one tomorrow in the white horse inn, have a nasty feeling I'll turn up and not find anyone though ... people should post on this thread from time to time so it stays on the main page or it'll be forgotten, unless it can be stickied?

Definitely come to the main beers tomorrow. It'll be good fun and you'll meet soem of the regular alcoholic posters from this forum

You head down to the Mezz on sat peachypants? Was the Jazz still on or was it over when you got there?
I was fairly tired when i was talking to ya and was just looking forward to going home (infact was tired from about 5 mins after i got to the place)

hehe yea you seemed a bit tired alright. Never got to the Mezz.....garth_v went but came back shortly afterwards so we didnt bother. Just drank more

well much as i'd like to come along (the last one was great craic, i think, whenever that was that i turned up. im sure someone may remember....) i have a 9am lecture on friday, the 11th of the term, of which i've been to 3. i should probably go to it as i have an essay to do on it over the holidays :rolleyes:

Ah Peader you have to come - sure its only a 10 page report like! And I'm firmly of the opinion that important college work should never get in the way of a good night out:D
