The last time i was in the barbours the conversation broke out between about which makes the better Jaffacake!?!? It eventually turned out that the owner(the chap that was cutting my hair) sent his assistant over to tesocs to buy a pack of each and find out for real which is better!Eventually i decided i preferred the McVities one better!

    So whats your opinion?

And please choose carefully as you should not underestimate the importance of this topic!
One of these companies livelihoods could be at stake!

Jacobs. They're softer and the orangey bit tastes better.

Yes but i cant edit a poll into it and i aint gonna start another thread again!

Anyways, which has the more 'jaffa' and which has the better 'cake'?

Mcvities had more orangy bit innit than Jacobs so thats why i prefer them! :D

Screw the poll, so far its 1 for each!

Ah, my poor misguided souls, Don't you realise that even though Jaffa cakes are good, they're not the best biscuit in the world. That would belong to toffeepops. The creamiest texture, the chewy yet soft inside....*dreaming*

But in a fair fight Mcvities would knock out all other competition in the Jaffa Cake Stake

Ok its 3:2 to Mcvities! :D

Hey toffeepops are good, but with a cup of tea they dont hold a candle to jaffacakes! And besides, sometimes peeps like a bikki thats a bit lighter if ya know what i mean!

    McVities

and the greatest biscuit is the McVities Chocolate and Caramel digestive.

Sweet buttery Jebus I would nearly kill for one of those right now.

    Definitely McVities

on a slight biscuit-cum-cake tangent (that can't be how you spell 'cum' in that instance?? is it?) i bought a pack of Raspberry cakes in Lidl last night (cheap jaffa rip-off) and thought they were pretty damn ok for the price, anyone else tried them?

Ok its now 6:4 to McVities! :D was tied up until the last 2 posts!

Jacobs for me when in Ireland. Softer sponge always seem to think McVities taste slightly staler.

Pims in France are great - extra flavours - raspberry, lemon etc. With a good solid dollop of dark chocolate on top. Only back 2 weeks from Paris and all gone :(

    Yum, Yum !

    1 for Oreos
