Yeah, its pretty good, but I wasnt expecting a "classic", its a nicely polished FPS with a few blews and whistles but nothing more. Better than Doom3 tho (which was merely average gameplay wise)!

Certainly not the best game I've ever played. System link multiplayer is pretty good though. My self & the brother started lastnight to play through Co-Op legendary. Can't even get through the first level, what's with that? The whole respawn at the last checkpoint when one of you dies gets a bit of getting used to. Looking forward to Echoes for a more enjoyable single player experience.

Its pirated for the vast majority of the games. Thats how they play it. Its been pirated
for almost 2 weeks now (granted the first version was in spanish)

Yup I have it too. Been bogged down with college work and the girlfriend obtaining sex and the city season 6 on DVD so only half way through it.
I love it. it is basically Halo 1 continued but its sharper, new weapons are more balance between alien and human. I actually like the alien weapons this time round.
Storyline is unfolding nicely for me. Classic? well Halo 1 was and this is marginally better so i don't see why not. Suffers in the originality dept alright but what sequel doesn't??

ah ffs now im being swayed back to the ps2. i have both perfect second hand consoles lined up to buy and cant decide which to get. the whole alo2 thing had me swayed the xbox way and gta swaying the ps2 way. cant think of what games i want!!!!!

Just depends on what you really like, if you like the other GTAs and that sort of thing, Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy then get a PS2. If you like FPS games to an insane degree, want to have a HDD, and want your multiformat games to look better then get an Xbox.
Or get both. Christmas is coming, ask Mammy_lhorg nicely!

apparently the pc version is out in may so it shouldnt be long after that will it hits the xbox

The game is brilliant, i have no clue how anyone sees it any other way to be honest.
It is by far the best game of the year in my opinion.
This and star wars kotor are the best games on the xbox.
Graphically its amazing, gameplay is perfect, there are tons of vehicles and weapons and
there is a great story with top notch cut scenes. Dont really see what more bungie
could have put into it to be honest.

im sure the "real" ending will be delivered in some downloadable content. bungie cant be leaving everyone on such _huge_ cliffhangers and then tell us that they are taking a break from halo so another one is not planned any time soon. microsoft are using halo 2 is a vehicle for expanding the live userbase so why wouldnt give(read force) the ultimate incentive upon those not already on live to sign up.

No doubt if they do go ahead with the downloadable content they will charge for it and probably charge a considerable amount. There will be enough muppets that will pay for it.
