    The Ultimate Warrior  ;)

Although reading this and this makes him seem kinda lame. Oh well, he was cool when I was a kid :D

Legion of Doom were my favourite tag team.
I always liked Jake the Snake Roberts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 968 ✭✭✭Adeptus Titanicus

I was gonna say Jake the Snake myself! :D That whole era with the Honkytonk Man, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jesse Ventura, Sgt Slaughter etc was pretty entertaining :)

I had many, my early faves were Randy Savage (and Elizibeth by his side) and Hitman ( when he wasn't that popular. Then it was Ultimate Warrior, the banter with the lovely Sherry was great. My bros' fave was Super Fly Jimmy Snukka. Then when The Undertaker came on the scene I switched to him, who can forget Giant Gonzalez entering in one Royal Rumble, man he was a monster.
My fave tag team were Demolition men, I turned off when Vince Mcmahon decided to go into the ring. One of fave finishing moves was Mr Perfect, god rest his soul and Rick Martini.

Closely followed by The Undertaker circa 90-91.

    As for the worst....

HE topped that by becoming a pimp type character called the Godfather... then he changed his ways and became the Goodfather... and then he disappeared, mainly cause he sucked

WWF...was the best thing ever on Sky 1. I went to see it one year in the Point.

My all time favourites were the Bush Wackers...they had that crazy dance thing that they used to do. Bret Hart was a legend too - always wanted a pair of those sun glasses. Earthquake, TugBoat, I remember them all!

    The Ultimate Warrior.
Would always get a beating and then do his indian dance thing and kick ass.
    quality.

    Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.

    Macho Man Randy Savage.
"Ooooh YeaH!" (plus shaky hand in the air thingy.)

i'm certain that the writers for the simpsons ripped him off when they created Duff Man.

Legion of Doom were the best tag team. def, savage shoulder pads.

    (1) Brock Lesnar (cos I looked like him till I shaved my head - facially I still do, as I do size wise!!)

    (2) Billy Kidman (WCW days)

    (3) Booker T (massively under-rated!)

    (4) Randy Orton (What can I say - the kid has got it!!!!)

    (5) Stone Cold Steve Austin (how can you NOT include this dude!!)

    (6) Tazz (Sorry the dude was awesome in his day!!!!)

I still remember going to see Wrestlemanie tour thingie in the Point-- I *think* there's still a t-shirt with the tour dates somewhere @ home hehe.

I remember watching WWF on saturday mornings on sky 1 after "the fun factory", before sky sports was ever in existence!

"rowdy" roddy piper was a ledgend

i remember the ultimate warrior firghting the undertaker, the undertaker put the ultimate warrior in a coffin and sealed it. i got fairly frightened when people from backstage ran out and started to drill airholes into the coffin, for the next 5 years nobody could ever convince me it was fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to hate the "filler" fights when a nobody would fight a proper wrestler and the proper wrestler would always start losing and then the crowds chants would revive him and proceed to make mincemeat outta the skinny white guy in the blue spandex.

    Macho Man
    Hulkster
    Jake the Snake
    Undertaker
    Dynamite Kid
    Rick the Dragon Steamboat

And I have to mention the Ugandan Head Hunter - Kamala !

One of the first WWF matches I ever saw was when they showed WWF one week on the old ITV wrestling program (normally showed British wrestling with Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks every week) - they showed Kamala Vs Hulk Hogan. I could never watch Big Daddy Vs Giant Haystacks again after that !

God, this brings back memories. I used to watch the wrestling every week as well. My mother, lord rest her, was mad into it as well. She had a major thing for the Hart brothers and the British Bulldog. And she used to love Roddy Piper because he was plain nuts! She used to always crack up watching him when he'd come out and the mad way he'd walk around the ring and stuff :D

Thought the Undertaker rocked (remember Paul Bearer? He was a freaky little f**ker, wasn't he? Well, I thought so when I was 11 or 12, anyway!). Always used to cheer on the Hulkster, Macho Man, The Ultimate Warrior, Bret "The Hitman" Hart. But I hated Shawn Micheals and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. I thought they loved themselves too much! F**king ponces! :D

I haven't watched it in over 10 years and, from what I've heard, it's not the same as it used to be. Those were the good old days of the WWF, the late 80's and early 90's. Sure, ffs, it's not even called WWF anymore!

My all time favorite(for spectacular effect) was kamala -the ugandan head-hunter

Santa's favourite had to be George "The Animal" Steele.
Remember the guy used to eat the padding on the ring posts and he had back hair that your average gorilla would be jealous of !
