Eating Advice

    Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice relating to 'after-exercise eating' for want of a better phrase.
First out, I'm 20 and reasonably fit but would like to shed a few pounds here and there. I work full time sitting at a desk (9-5) and would usually get in from work at 530. My week, now that my GAA club training has finished up, consists of 2 light enough trainin sessions with the college team (tues & thurs) and maybe one trip to the gym midweek and one on the weekend.

The question I want to ask is what should my eating regime be if I want to loose some weight but keep up my strength and energy levels for work and exercise. We usually have lunch at 1 in work and most days I don't eat properly again til after training ie 9pm.

Could you give me advice on what/when/how much I should eat??

Incidentally, one of my mates who is one of the fittest people I know, doesn't eat at all after training, but bear in mind he has a later lunch than myself. He tells me he takes on 3-4 litres of water a day and maybe a litre of milk aswell. Is this a good method to use ie. drink more/eat less?

Any input would be greatly appreciated,
    Snapper
