Hi, this is my first post here.My 12 month membership in WestPoint gym in Blanchardstown has run out and I'm looking to buy a home gym machine so that I won't have to attend a gym anymore.Due to the fact that I had surgery for a serious knee injury 2 years ago, I need to continue doing weights on my leg muscles but am finding it difficult to make the time to go to the gym. Basically, the gym machines I need to continue using are 1.Leg Extension 2.Leg Press 3.Leg/Hamstring Curl 4.Adductor 5.Abductor.
Does anyone here know of a reasonably priced home weights machine that I could buy which has these exercises?i don't really need any other exercises apart from these. Thanks in advance.

    www.vjhomefitness.com

There is a store quite near to wespoint if fancy a look. I went for a look a few weeks ago - it's got everything you'll need - prices are pretty reasonable too. you could always try out the For Sale section here on Boards or else stick an add for yourself in the Wanted section.

Has anyone actually bought anything from VJ's?

I was thinking of getting a cross trainer for the house and saw this one there.
    Discovery 6006
Haven't found anything about the manufacturer on the web but in VJ's showrooms the thing felt fairly solid.

Any other shops I should vist?
    Any input appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi gaillimh,

You can try www.starfitness.ie too. They have a warehouse and showrooms in Bray and a place in Arnotts. The price's an range are very good. What type of knee injury did you have? You may be able to save yourself a good bit of cash if you can do a couple of bodyweight techniques instead. If you happen to be in the area drop in to Star Fitness in Arnott's, and ask for a guy named Paul. Ask him to show you a couple of exercises for knee rehabilitaion and he'll sort you out.

Also if you can give me a little more info on the specific injury I can probably help here, I have a small degree of experince in regards to knee injuries and may be able to suggest a few things.

I've seen their display in Arnotts - they dont have much to display there - better of checking out the website or showrooms if you can.
