What are your best childhood memoies sitting in front of the TV?

I'm going to go for either Noddy or Transformers (Obviously they were from different times in my life, I swear I'm not still watching them!)

Mysterious Cities of Gold was my favourite without a doubt.

    Followed by Ulysses 31.

Then Jayce and the Weeled Warriors and Transformers.

Transformers would have been my toy of choice, as opposed to He-man, M*A*S*K and Voltron which were also popular among kids at the time.

Can only remember as far back as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles but my mother told that I was obsessed with Ulysses 31 when I was younger.

    The others I remember are:

    Freakazoid
    Calamity Jane
Earthworm Jim (loved the way his response to every problem would be along the lines of 'lets blow it up!')
    Batman animated series
    Animaniacs
    Thundercats

It really makes me sad to look at the quality of some of todays cartoons.
Most of them seem to be obsessed with that Japanese Pokemon esque style of animation and using the latest buzzwords. "Oh my god, that soooo zaney Brad!"

    Transformers.

    Pac-Man
    Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends
    The Incredible Hulk
The Real Ghostbusters (as opposed to the 'fake' ghostbusters who actually coined the name around 10 years prior to the 1984 movie!)
    C.O.P.S.
    Bravestarrr

    and of course the aforementioned....
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

I actually preferred the other Ghostbusters cartoon.

Ha yes... That's right. I'd forgotten about that bit.

The old Warner Brothers classics can't be beat. Daffy, Bugs, Elmer, Tweety and Sylvester were and still are some of the funniest stuff you can see.

That said, I loved Earthworm Jim and want to have its babies. I was devastated when it stopped showing. Anyone know if it's available on DVD or somesuch?

Also, Animaniacs, just for sheer oddness. Well, that and astounding violence. Poor Goodfeathers...

    Hmm

    Mysterious Cities of Gold
    Dogtanian and the 3 Muskahounds
    He-Man
    Thundercats

And the old favourites, Tom & Jerry, Topcat, Sylvester, Wile E Coyote, Daffy, etc...

    I loved Inspector Gadget!

Also Smurfs, Get Along Gang, He-Man, My Little Pony, Ulysses, Mysterious Cities of Gold, Tom & Jerry, Superted, Jamie & the Magic Torch, Sylvanian Families.......

As for the cartoons nowadays - Sponge Bob Square Pants isn't too bad or Fairly Odd Parents and Mr. Bean's cartoon is so stupid that you just have to watch it!

Well, The Simpsons wouldn't be retro, really, would they?

Assuming the criteria are that it's a kid's cartoon from the past, I'd say Dungeons And Dragons or Noddy.

If it includes modern ones for adults, add Futurama to the list. I will never laugh as much at anything as I laughed at Robopuppy on that show!
