    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of you could help me. I'm looking for a chin up bar
that fits over the door frame as opposed to screwing into it. Its just that i live in rented accomdation and I dont want to lose my deposit!!! I constantly hear good things about chin ups and am looking for a cheap way to start doing them. (Those chinup/dip stations are too fecking dear!!!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks - Monkeyboy!!!

I think the main reason the bars have to be screwed in is for your own safety, i dont think anything that isnt screwed would support ones bodyweight

Argos had a good one that dosnt screw into the wall. It uses the door frame and its hard to explain how it works but basically it extends the width of the door and then you turn it and it pretty much just locks into place. It does the trick just fine, and its only around 12 euro. I got mine last year, so hopefully they have the same type now.
