im not sure if this should be here or the computers forum.
I got a .avi file from the net and its really compressed, 150mb for 1 hour. The problem is when i try to play it in either real player or windows media player all I get is sound.
Both programs have tryed to retrieve upgrades from net but still not working.
    help?

Your missing a codec, but with only that description its impossible to say which one.

Whats the video, and where did you get it?

150MB for an hour... sounds like DivX
goto www.divX.com and download their codec.
That happened me before and that sorted it.

Another thing... Real Player should auto install new codec when they're needed  dunno why it didn't for you...

Go find an application called G-Spot - it'll tell you all about the file and what codec is missing...
