Regular poster with a very sensitive issue.

My best mate and I have known each other since Primary School and have always been hanging around in each other's gaffs. I have always got on well with his mam and if i call round and he's not there i will sit down and have a chat and a cup of tea with her.

His mom is single and brought him up on her own. She's really sound and definitely not unattractive. All our other mates are always ripping it out of him that his mam's a bit of a MILF. This is probably mostly because she is single but she is also quite young and in good shape.

Anyway, last weekend he had his 21st in his gaff and we all went over. His grandmother and grand father were there and his bird and her mates and of course all of his mates.

Toward the end of the night everyone was fading due to an abundance of free booze. My mate fell victim to the Vodka about midnight and had to be put to bed.

About half two I was on my way back from the jacks I meet his mam and we are having a chat. Its all normal drunken banter and she 's soing on about what fine young men we have turned into. I didn't read too much into this as she is always saying that sort of stuff. Then the weirdest thing ever happens...

She looks like she is about to log the gob on me but just falls over past me. She could have just fallen over but when I try to help her up she says she's fine and gets all awkward and walks off.

I left shortly afterwards because the drink ran out and everyone was half asleep anyway. I haven't called over to my mate's gaff since and I know he's gonna think it's weird because usually i'd be over at least three times a week.

I don't know what to do... I am quite atracted to his mom and now maybe she feels the same way. My mate would go spare though!!!

Not really worried he'd find out as such. He's off to to college in New Zealand in September on a sports scholarship. It's just that he's gonna notice somethings up if I keep avoiding going over to the gaff.

I know if i go over there though and the mam is there that it will be all awkward and he'll twig something.

I assume you are since your mate had a 21st and I can only imagine you're around the same age as him. If this is indeed the case then both you and the woman in question are adults. Therefore it really isn't anyone elses business what you two get up to as consenting adults. That said, I really think you are reading a little too much into the whole situation. You were drunk, and most likely so was she. There was a brief moment of flirtation but nothing happened. I'll bet this happens quite a lot with girls your age, but you probably don't think anything of it.

In this particular case the whole social dynamic of the situation is causing you grief because your mind is playing out the "what if" scenario. Go and visit your mate. Chances are the mom has forgotten about the situation or at least hasn't made as much a deal of it as you seem to have. If there is something there then as I've stated it's not really anyone else's place to interfere. However even if there is an attraction it's probable that either you or your mates mom won't take it any furthur because of your connection to the family.

While they're both consenting swiss, theres alot more to take into consideration. If they said "We're consenting adults" to the mate, I really don't think it would make a blind bit of difference, and he will see it as his business. Of course if the mate didn't care then I'd say go for it, but that is very unlikely.

It just sounds like she was a bit worse for ware, and I think you just happened to pass by her while she was feeling lonely or just quite horny perhaps. Either way, if you value your friendship forget about it and move on and just say to yourself that she probably would've made a pass at whoever happened to be there at the time which more than likely true.
