I think it's so some people can give their friends reputation and so that wild renegade fight the powerites can obtain a bad boy image. At least that's what it was used for before.

in the Friends screen, i dont understand the number under your username, and then the friends / is linked to / is linked from

has the number under your username on that screen got anything to do with this reputation points malarky??

The number under your username is the amount of people you have listed as friends who have also listed you as a friend.

Say for example, I have you as a buddy and you have me as a buddy, then that's 1 point for you. If only one of us has the other listed, then it doesn't count. Basically, it has to be vice versa.

Seen this on another board. I already know how to fix it to get super points (but requires other peoples help). Other then that it is not open to general abuse.

Make sure you can see who sent you rep though/.

It's a good indicator of who's a muppet and who's generally liked... Well, it would be if there was the ability to give negative karma, or as I call it KARMIC VENEGEANCE.

Also, you don't know who's giving you karma points, so "sucking up" is unlikely to be effective .

As an aside, is there any way to find which posts were given points and comments, besides searching through them all one by one? Does the wee green light change colour depending on the overall rep, or the one for the post it's attached to?
