never really hungry

my appetite has gone crappy. normally i'd force a cereal down with a sandwich at lunch and usually some dinner potatoes and meat. lately, though i find i'm not even hungry to finish the sandwich and the cereal might get missed.

rather than being more hungry i seem to have conditioned myself to less food. i'm quite fit. i play soccer 2 or 3 times a week and started in the gym a few months back (last few weeks i haven't been going actually). i'd normally get to the gym on the days i'm not playing ball.

i'd really like to be more hungry i find it easy sometimes to even forget to have a meal. the result of this is that i occasionally get headaches and feel a little tired. the only times i've really ate a lot are abroad with good food. its something about this country and crappy food.

i think i'd like to make out some sort of list of foods i should start eating and whatnot. healthy eating guide or something.

anyways, anyone with advice? i'd murder a Big Mac right now.

    TIA

I bet you're snacking all day between meals. I used to find I was never hungry for main meals, until I copped on to my habit of constantly snacking during the day - a chocolate bar here, some crisps there, a packet of nuts after, then no room left once dinner time came round (I'd often forget to even have a main evening meal). Maybe try to have main meals at fairly certain times if possible, and try to cut out snacking in-between if you're on a specific diet or your food intake is dropping. As for crappy food, try to stay away from quick-fix foods like microwave TV dinners, fast food, etc and cook for yourself at home as often as possible. There's plenty of stuff that's piss-easy to cook and tastes great - chicken, fish, pasta, steak, supermarket pizza, chinese or mexican food, etc. You'll also save money this way.
