Yeah, a 4.65m Avon with a 50hp Yamaha on the back. Grand for about 34 knots with two up. Immense fun on the lake.

We use a 7.4 meter rib for diving and power boat training with a 150Hp outboard, just wondering if anyone done any Parasailing with their boats, thinking about giving it a go.

I have a Lencraft 5m rib with a Yamaha 90 on the back. I never looked at parasailing but I looked into getting an a frame on the back to help with wakeboarding. It was going to cost something like 1500 to get it made and installed not worth it imo. I would imagine that you would need to make some alterations to a standard rib for this to work

It would be good to see it done though.

A frames are very expensive, any of the stainless steel work for RIBs is expensive, this is because the boat builders commission the work from the fabricators then add a few yo-yo's on top and also charge fitting.

I was thinking about launching the parasail from the beach, but have learned that it must be launched into the wind and the wind must be below 15 knots.
Trying to get a day in Donegal when there is less than 15 knots of wind and it’s blowing onto a suitable launching beach would be very rare.

I think I'll stick to the diving.

Has anyone done or applied for the International Certificate of Competency (ICC)?
