what do I think of americans? for the most part the ones i've met generally lack any kind of sense of humour and have huge superiority complexes. But then again, maybe I haven't met the right ones yet.

yes..I laugh a lot when I hear another couple of thousand muslims have been killed.

but aside from the generalisations..there are one or two I have great respect for and who's company I really enjoy. So don't feel bad.

you know what? i get extremely pissed off when i hear something like "one of our brothers was killed the other day in bagdad and a whole state is grieving over it and those iraqies are gonna pay" mean while thousands of inosent civilians are being slaughtered over there and condoleasa is having a ****ing party.

Alot of people will claim that foreigners don't hate americans, just american goverment. Well here something that is you, thats each and every one of you.

I am for Ireland. As for bombing Ireland, I wonder how the omagh bomb was funded, and hundreads of others.

That's an important point. There's no doubt that if the states was the size of Liechtenstein, that we Americans, first of all, wouldn't be able to get up to that much mischief, ie bombing everyone, and secondly, even if we were you definitely wouldn't hear as much about it.

There was a 'Conflict Guide' on the BBC website a few weeks back which really put things into perspective for me ... It was an interactive map that pinpointed all the current hotspots and had a brief description of what was happening in each of them & how many people had died because of the fighting. Some of the african countries have lost over a million people due to civil war in the past decade. That dwarfs just about everything that's going on now. Semptember 11th was what ? 2,000 ? Sure it was directly caused by an islamic fundamentalist psycho, but even still.

And those of you who think that America blindly backs Israel ... you're half right ! Half of America blindly backs Israel. I personally think it's ridiculous as do many of my friends, some of whom are Jewish ! Completely cutting ties with Israel would probably be the smartest thing the current administration could do to aid homeland security. And it's not like Israel's doing anyone any favours these days. Just watched 'Death In Gaza,' the documentary made by a few british reporters in Gaza that leads to one of them getting shot by Israeli soldiers ... pretty sickening really.

Oh my god. Boston, you are a fool. The USA is not the cause of all the world's problems. Yes the US government has done many bad things, but you cannot 'hate' all the american people for their government's actions..... much less than half the american people actually voted for Bush in the election.
At least the US take some action in the world today.... I know that if i was an iraqi i would have wanted sadam overthrown. Ok so the war has been a complete mess but if the UN and other nations had intervened before the US than maybe it wouldnt have been so bad, but no... we all just sit back and do f*** all.
Having said that, i'm not a fan of Bush or his beliefs and most of the things he has done. I really hope the americans don't vote him back in in the next election. But Boston, you are totally over-the-top in your hatred of americans.

Pigeoncrumb, to answer your question, i think the american people are, in general, kind and good-natured people. They have many admirable qualities that we dont have. I just dont like your government and cant understand how Bush still has the support he does there.
